Beautiful lyrics and a beautiful MV interpretation. I'm sure most people who watch this are fans of Marika-Chan, so her talents need no introduction from me; but as someone who only discovered the story of the Onsen Trio during the Covid lockdown of 2020, the tale of Marika, Lilly, and Himetan has forever filled my heart with a sense of conflicting emotions of Joy, Pain, Sadness, Tragedy and Triumph. For me personally, the embodiment of all of her journey is found in the legend of the three matching dresses she designed for the stage dance and presentation of the "Gomen ne Smoothie" song to be performed by her and her two closest friends. What was to have been the most beautiful Idol dresses ever made, for the Greatest Idol Song Ever Written, seems destined to never be fulfilled by the original cast. For Himetan's crowning pink dress that she was supposed to wear as the center, my heart is torn open every time I see it; the costume is there (and has sometimes been worn by people I love very much such as the timeless Yuri Saito or the lovely Ayame Tsutsui), but Marika's love that created the original vision was inspired by her bond with Inoue and Himetan. . .It is almost as if the most beautiful jeweled crown, created with loving hands for a special princess, still waits for the day it will finally be united with its rightful owner. Maybe someday, in a fairy tale dream, Marika, Sayunyan, and Himetan will stand onstage together once again, and finally perform for the world what has been denied them (and us) for so long. For many, it would indeed be an answer to a wish and a prayer; who knows, if Marika-Chan can indeed perform the impossible as she did on day 1 of the 10th Year Birthday live with her sister Ikoma-Chan, perhaps there is hope for the world still. Until that day, there will always be a hole in my heart as I yearn for the beauty I can only imagine.
