He grew up still with pride, but he was taught better than how he raised himself in the main timeline. It's probably how he also learned how to go Super Saiyan, or use the Kamehameha Wave.

Ok so basically, this animation is made from the history of the monkey king. Son Goku actually means Sun Wukong, also known as the monkey king. Sun Wukong is a demon in the form of a fire monkey. The reason Vegeta was able to do the kamehameha is because Sun Wukong can share his abilities with anyone. He is also immortal and has the ability to manipulate wind, fire, and water, turn into different animals, and has a great deal of strength.
