Das Problem ist wohl, wenn man als Cover-Band vor der echten Band auftritt, ist der Enthusiasmus möglicherweise ein wenig "gedämpft", weil man sich ja die Luft und Energie für das Mitbrüllen bei dem Original aufheben möchte. Aber ich für meinen Teil - wäre ich dort gewesen - hätte den Chorus lauthals mitgesungen aber sowas von begeistert. Maiden ist Maiden, egal ob die Band ansich oder eine supergeile Cover Band von Frauen, die das wirklich gut drauf haben. Was soll ich sagen... diese Frauen hätten ähnlich wie "Vixen" auch ihr eigenes persönliches Ding machen können, doch sie haben sich auf Iron Maiden spezialisiert. Und das in dieser Qualität abzugeben ist nicht nur tribute sondern einfach nur eine Generation von Mädels, die sich dazu entschlossen haben, Iron Maiden auf ihre Art und Weise zu ehren. Ich finde das einfach phantastisch. Denn wenn ich an meine letzten 3 Konzerte in Mannheim, Freiburg und Stuttgart zurückdenke sehe ich immernoch vor meinem geistigen Auge diese ganzen Kinder mit ihren Metal-Eltern, die begeistert mitrocken. Da werden junge Menschen für Heavy Metal begeistert und ich bin mir sicher, diese Form von Musik wird diese jungen Leute ein Leben lang begeistern und begleiten.... "Up the Irons!!!!" Go on rockin'!

MAN - these ladies rival maiden. Best maiden cover band i have ever seen. Crowd had amazing energy. Shows how Europeans love getting out to a show no matter who is playing. Excellent camera / sound work. Except on the Wasted years solo kinda fell short on that Wacken better luck next time. That however was the best cover i have ever seen of wasted years. Iron maiden does a slower version of the song. The ladies picked up the tempo which matched the original maiden version. Excellent work ladies

There’s only one person on this planet better at bass than Steve Harris and it is Wanda Ortiz! Like Maiden, the Maidens have the most capable lead guitarists, but their bass is second to none( except Steve, sorry Geezer and Geddy) That’s why everyone at the concert is always yelling “We love you Wanda”

True. Usually the Wacken videos are decent, at least for the performances at one of the main stages. This is a smaller stage, I suppose the video was made by some sort of B-crew.

People like to hear Iron Maiden songs performed live by an excellent band, while having fun with friends, new acquintances etc. They don't get butthurt because of some Freudian-reason by not having the original band at Wacken that year as a headliner.
