Wow. When was the last time both Cat and Paige were in a tourney and neither ended up on lead card in the final round? Awesome round.

Is this tournament uncharacteristic for Eveliina to putt that bad? I'll admit I haven't watched her a whole lot in the past. She 4 putt inside circle 1, has missed several 5-10 footers, etc. That was honestly some of the worst putting from a pro disc golfer I've ever seen on coverage before.
@jrome11352 жыл бұрын
Her putting game is definitely NOT her strong point. If you watch this, notice how many times cat shows up. And she's a 2x world champion. If evelina got her putting right, she (and MAYBE Paige) could compete with the men. The rest of the field, not so much. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jovUYpdtjdh8pNU

Very few people have any idea. It has nothing to do with technical skills or nerves. It hit her at the European Championships. It happens once the putting stroke begins so there isn't much anyone can do about it. Doesn't matter what a person does before the putt. Problem is, once it starts, the person never knows when it's going to happen, but they have to deal with knowing it will happen at any time. Once it happens during a tournament, she starts hurrying, trying to avoid it but that doesn't work. She also has to deal with needing everything to be a gimme so she doesn't have to deal with it. Best thing she could do is alter her stance to oppostie foot forward. It's so bizarre, it would probably disconnect the block her mind is putting on her body. Her mind would be preoccupied with the different stance. She would still miss some putts because she hasn't done it 1000 times but it wouldn't have the same effect. Everyone telling her to practice and establish a routine and breathe and all the rest of it are doing her a disservice.Those are great things but they aren't going to change the fact her mind is triggered by something it is familiar with. There are very few people who have experienced what she's experiencing. I'm one who has.

@@mjgowjr15 exactly. More than likely you don't have a clue. Doesn't mean you don't. Odds are you don't. She isn't just missing putts. To those who weren't watching when it hit her at the European Championships, it may look like she is putting poorly or letting her nerves get to her but that is not the case. She isn't missing putts from 6'. She can't do it. It's effecting all of her putting because if you ever experienced not being able to putt from 6', your putting from 20' would be screwed up. Every putt would be because you wouldn't want the putter to be beyond arms reach of the basket if it hit the ground. But if you've never experienced not being able to putt from 6', you don't have any idea what it's like. We're not talking missing them. We're talking not being able to function. What she's going through is terrible and it's a tribute to how strong she is internally her even being able to putt at all. She's one of the best players in the world and you don't accomplish what she has or play the way she did in Waco if you aren't mentally strong. She has no problem focusing from the tee or on upshots. She isn't some rookie who only plays casual rounds and practices a half hour a week. She's practiced enough putting to make putts from 6' in her sleep. But she isn't sleeping. You and everyone else can laugh all you like.

@@randybaker6042 bro youre making it weird af. So youre saying ahe has the yips? I think she just needs to practice putting more or re-check her mental game. Doable
