What arm stand do you know is compatible with the 27, that is cheaper than the one they offer?

Hi Derek many thanks for your video. Really interesting to hear your thoughts on Cintiq vs iPad. I agree, the new Cintiq is a fabulous drawing tool . I noticed you are using the Cintiq Pro 27 with Mac OS. What is your experience with the Wacom drivers? In touch mode I still get some glitches and crashes. Wacom Centre updates haves solved most issues but the occasional (most days) crashes happen - only in Touch mode. I did some comparison with my old Intel Mac running Windows 10 (Bootcamp). The touch experience is, by comparison, night and day. In Windows it is very much like an iPad. Touch is very intuitive and responsive in Windows. Super impressed. However, I'm a Mac person and I'm not sure I'm ready to make the jump. Perhaps I have a faulty Cintiq. or Mac. It could be it works ok on Intel Macs- I'm stumped. If you have any insight on how Wacom drivers behave with your Mac that would be super helpful :) Celyn

Hi Celyn, i am glad you enjoyed the video. I also have had a few issues also regarding my Cintiq drivers using touch, usually something minor resolved by restarting the Cintiq. It does seem to be happening less for me though as new updates come out. Hopefully it's something that will be ironed out by driver updates in the future. I am using a Mac computer (MacBook Pro m1 2021model) I also consider my self a Mac guy, I have heard it was a completely smooth experience using touch on windows and I have considered switching but I do get by with using touch on my Mac with my Cintiq as is. I am still trying to establish a productive workflow using the two device and I have not given up hope, I believe I can get to a point where it does feels somewhat seamless. I do believe there is a lot of potential here, I will be making a new video in the next few upcoming months regarding a more in-depth look at my workflow and specific nuances of the Cintiq pro 27. I appreciate your input and if you stumble upon anything during your journey using the Cintiq on Mac using touch I would love to hear about it.

Thank you for the reply. Good to know I don't have a faulty Cintiq. I thought that was the case. Wacom take a little time to debug drivers on new products. I imagine the new architecture of M1 silcon presents a bigger challenge for Wacom. I did enjoy the Cinitq touch experience in Windows 10 but I actually found the increased resposiveness led to swiping across other applications. Touch on my Mac is slightly less prone to unwanted swipes. I don't zoom as much anyway as the screen is nice and big. Keep up the good work! Celyn @@Derek_Paints

Can the pro pen 3 nibs fit into the pro pen 2? I know tips is longer on the new one but is the insert part still the same length and diameter ?

Please Help how did you turn on 4K with 120 Hz? For some Reason it stays on 60 Hz with me did you use USB C with Thunderbolt or something else?
@Derek_Paints Жыл бұрын
In the display settings you should be able to change it. I am using usb type c to usb type c to my computer and then power. You can use hdmi but the computer must support hdmi 2.0.
@nahdude-ni7fr Жыл бұрын
@@Derek_Paints so you just use the single included usb c to usb c cable with your macbook nothing else and you get 4k 120Hz?
@Derek_Paints Жыл бұрын
@@nahdude-ni7fr Yes that's correct just the one cable. The usb type c port I use on my Cintiq is the one next to the power, on the left hand side of the back of the Cintiq. That runs directly to my 2021 MacBook Pro no other cables needed. I went back into my settings and can confirm its 4k at 120 hz.

Ive been on the fence about this too lol... Think ill be buying one this weekend How bad is the fan? I think I hear it in the video lol
@Derek_Paints Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah I hear ya! It's a lot of money. The noise seems to be quieter than my old cinitq 24 pro as it would occasionally ramp up and get pretty loud at times. The 27 just blends into the ambient noise in my room it doesn't bother me at all. I had my room fan on during the video 😅
@Jaugarez Жыл бұрын
@Derek_Paints ok that's awesome! How is the touch? The touch on my 13" cintiq pro is abysmal as palm rejection was the worse so I kept it off
@Derek_Paints Жыл бұрын
@@Jaugarez The touch works, I use it definitely not as sensitive as an iPad. I have heard it’s smoother on windows but I cannot confirm that right now. Clip studio paint on the cintiq 27 does feel pretty buttery though 😀. Photoshop has this choppy effect on rotation, palm rejection is pretty good, there will be an occasional mark here and there similar to procreate.

There is no 32 inch w/ this new tech. That's the old Cintiq tech that is 60hz refresh and pen 2.

Must be nice the flush 4 grand down the toilet. I can't believe that Apple isn't entering this space. They can do much better for cheaper.
