this would work very well with those pottery rain chimes strings hung vertical next to bamboo fence that blend well and sounds naturally good when it rains. creates a tropical paradise feel. Beware the horrible winds that will shatter this diy in a heartbeat!

Maybe the person building this fence doesn't live in a climate where bamboo will grow? Or doesn't have the space? Or doesn't have years to wait for mature bamboo?

Because in some areas, like where I live in southwest New Jersey, bamboo is considered an “evasive plant”. That means it grows like a weed and can wreck septic tanks and all that. Therefore, it can only be grown and kept unless it’s maintained in a certain property area
