I enjoyed that! Looks like you all were inspired by the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre and created your own interpretation of the feeling captured in baptism. Maybe the brother's wigs were a bit much but it added to the comedic element of the dance so shake em! :)

Come on guys. Lets not catch a case of butt-hurt-itis here. Its obviously a sort of tribute to the "holy dancers", seen every single Sunday in black churches all over the country. The movement itself wasn't bad, and only a couple of the costumes were exaggerated and comical. Now lets be real here. Normally I am no fan of "praise dance". Usually it seems to be a lot lot lot short on the "dance", but there is a real effort here put into the movement as well as the characterizations. Its light and enjoyable. Actually actually enjoyed watching it.

I agree, often times they are so caught up on the praise they forget to dance. It amuses me that they never seem to really move and create a lot of energy, though there are a few exceptions, such as Dancing with a Purpose

My 12 yr old son saw this and said it looked inappropriate. I agree.... and irreverent and irrelevant. But "art" interpretation is subjective.... ??? Ummm.... Hmmm.... ----------- Unfortunately, many black history programs/ tributes have become quite cheesy and a mockery of the struggle of African Americans, albeit, sometimes ignorantly and unintentionally. I guess I'll add this up to "good intentions" gone bad..... Sorry to sound so critical, but this kind of gets under my skin... SMH.
