Why are so many DnB tunes nowadays using these horrible out of place synth sounds ? Recently out of curiosity I checked out Beatport's Top 100, and I swear I couldn't listen to 80% of the tunes there for longer than 10 seconds.

You're right. It's because the scene has gone down the sh*tter in recent years. Only a select few artists are making good tunes nowadays.
