These extra instruments really give this song a new, more haunting layer, also the voices are really nice together. Probably the best remix/cover of the original song to this date.

Amy Lee made this 13 years too late - i was a goth weeb in high school! lol This is still pretty amazing.

Ahhh. . . Can we just appreciate the cultural exchange they did in this performance? I think it's adorable especially seeing it from Wagakki and Amy Lee. Such a soothing dark aura 🖤 This song is indeed another great musical journey to take on. Truly one of the best Eastern-Western music collab ever! (imo) 🖤🖤🖤

And noone is crying about cultural appropriation! Love it
I’m just now hearing this and oh my gosh… this is easily the absolute best remix/rendition of this song ever! Man I wish they released a studio version of this!

His growl was pretty weak. Great guitarist though.
never thought Machiya would do that death growl at 2:55! impressive!

I simply love this performance. The integration of modern rock, injection of an orchestra and traditional Japanese musical instruments just awesome!!!

That would be a hard NO. The absolute without a doubt best live version of BMTL is off of the ABH live in Zenith , France. This Yuko just cannot even carry the chorus. No charisma, no power.

@@grahamgirlforever That was funny, especially the charisma and power part, maybe listen again and think about your words first when you are so wrong....

Wowzers. As a 47yr old Japanese who grew up in Australia this must be the most epic musical stage performance I have seen. Just amazing. Love Amy's outfit as well with her trademark boots.

Had no idea that this collaboration existed and I can’t of a better collab ever. Kudos to whoever had the idea that Amy and Wagakki should come together, and pulled it off

I’ve been an avid fan of evanescence since 2014 and i didn’t know this existed till i just searched for the lost in paradise instrumental on youtube ten minutes ago. I burst into tears cuz this version is so perfect and just showcases how goddamn talented these musicians are.

Same here, huge fan of Evanescence for years. I didnt know this existed. Except I searched Shōtaro Morikubo (after watching a scene in black clover and feeling I knew a certain demon's voice from Naruto lmao). Needless to say, I dunno how I got here but I'm glad I did. 😅😍

Lyrics : How can you see into my eyes like open doors? Leading you down into my core Where I've become so numb Without a soul My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold Until you find it there and lead it back home Wake me up inside (save me) Call my name and save me from the dark (wake me up) Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up) Before I come undone (save me) Save me from the nothing I've become Now that I know what I'm without You can't just leave me Breathe into me and make me real Bring (bring) me (me) to life Wake me up inside (save me) Call my name and save me from the dark (wake me up) Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up) Before I come undone (save me) Save me from the nothing I've become Bring me to life I've been living a lie There's nothing inside Bring me to life Frozen (frozen) inside without your touch Without your love, darling Only (only) you are the life among the dead All of this time, I can't believe I couldn't see Kept in the dark, but you were there in front of me I've been sleeping a thousand years, it seems Got to open my eyes to everything Without a thought, without a voice, without a soul Don't let me die here (There must be something more) bring me to life Wake me up inside (save me) Call my name and save me from the dark (wake me up) Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up) Before I come undone (save me) Save me from the nothing I've become Bring me to life I've been living a lie There's nothing inside Bring me to life

It is really a spiritual song, based on biblical themes - spiritual deadness, quickening, resurrection, the Life (I Am the Resurrection and the Life). Evanescence (the band that Amy was part of) started as a Christian band and then went secular

The use of traditional japanese instruments, the orchestra. So beautiful, so majestic.
Amy always seems like she enjoys doing stuff outside traditional rock. I saw her tour with Lindsey Stirling and it was a great show.

Every synchronized wave increases bandwidth speeds to live-stream the 4k video material back to their homes for private viewing, so by the time the concert is over, everyone of the audience alr has a copy of the concert DVD at home I'm just joking, but I can dream, can't I?

I've listened to several different versions of this, both live and in studio, and this is the best arrangement of them all. Amy and Yuko are perfect together and Machiya does a fantastic job on his part.
