いつも思うけど、音楽のベースとなる和太鼓とドラムが綺麗にシンクロしてるのが凄い。スタジオ録音でも最初にとるらしいけど、何時も完璧にシンクロしてるね。こんな打楽器が和洋2者で叩かれるバンドって他に無いよね。

こうしてリズム隊のお二方がファンを魅了している間に、ゆうこさんは喉を整えたり、キヨシさんやベニさんは琴や三味線の調整をしていたりするんだろうなぁ。 普通のバンドよりも遥かにこうした調整が必要で、その間もファンを飽きさせない構成を考えたり、ライブでしか聞けないインストやパフォーマンス、組み合わせをしてみたり。 かなり前だけどインタビューで、「全部、手探りです」みたいなことをゆうこさんが言っていた記憶がある。ただバンドに和楽器を加えただけなら、ここまでの苦労はなかったんじゃないかな。 そうではなくて和楽器の可能性を追求しつつ「和楽器の凄く格好良いところ」を伝えて、世界中を魅せていくという目的があるから、試行錯誤の連続になるのじゃないかな。 ライブの銀盤は全部持っているけど、大新年会とか毎年、新しい試みや工夫されていて。 本当に和楽器バンドは、知れば知るほど凄いと思う。

they are just things Wadaiko drummers say when they are playing. its kinda like how you are taught to yell when perform certain moves in martial arts
