This song is about the westernization of Japan, which happened during the Meiji Restoration. Despite having an upbeat, oriental track, the song contains rather dark themes, mentioning guillotines and ICBMs. In addition, the lyrics state things such as "Songs of lament go unheard" and "This is a banquet inside a steel jail cell".

The Shamisen is played with a plectrum called a "bachi". "Manatsu no Dai shinenkai" means "Midsummer New Year's party" This concert was meant to be the "Dai shinenkai 2020" New Year party of the Wagakki Band, but was postponed until August 2020. Yokohama arena has room for 17k, but only 5k were allowed in. Everyone had to pass a negative test, wear a face mask and was not allowed to sing along or shout. Therefore, this performance lacks response from the audience. This is also the closing numbers. You need to check out "Hotarubi" from Premium Symphonic Night Vol.2
