In Japan, the Wagakki Band is a Supergroup. Go to Wikipedia to get their info which is much better than Google. All members of this band are masters of their instruments and have individual awards for their ability to play. They teach and there are 3 separate bands represented on stage. The founder and leader of the band is Yuko, the singer. She is a concert level pianist, and a master of Shin Gin, the type of singing she performed in this video. Read Wikipedia and listen to more of their music.

The Wagakki Band has written many tie-in songs for anime, video games, movies, TV dramas, TV commercials, and theme songs for live Olympics broadcast programs, but this song is not among them.

You can tell the guitar player draws a lot of his style from Van Halen. The speed and precision he plays with would make the late Eddie proud, and likely want to jam along with him.

Wagakki was chosen to be the entertainment act at the opening ceremonies of the Tokyo Olympics, but covid cancelled that part of the events. Too bad because Akasuki No Ito would likely have been at least one of the songs they would have played. If it had happened today they would be known world-wide! I loved this band and I suggest you listen to "Synchronicity" next and to their collaboration with Amy Lee of Evenesence and the song "Bring Me to Life."
