But of Course : I may be mistaken, but I think he does fry vocals. It’s pretty easy to hear that the natural raspy quality he has in his normal speaking voice on stage is what he uses to scream. He may be doing those lows using his false chords but I very seriously doubt it’s even accessing the part of his throat that creates the guttural noise.

Med if you knew a thing or 2 about playing in a band or playing live you'd know that the section was just too short to play. and he probably doesn't have a footswitch for his amp so there's no point in going to change over to the clean channel and then playing for 5 seconds and then switching back. thats what backtracks are for
