I seem to recall the BBC putting this out at 11-00am to capture the tea break audience. It was meant to be a trendy replacement for Mrs Dales Diary ( Later - The Dales ) which it replaced.

Wikipedia tells me there are 2,824 episodes of Waggoners' Walk. I wonder how many of those episodes I'll be able to find. As a Hampstead resident, I'm very keen to see how they utilise this area.

Actually, Acorn Antiques owed more to Crossroads!

@@arthurvasey Dialogue was based on WW, she said so in many interviews and it was her original inspiration. Crossroads was what brought about the characters and the physical look but the “talking in exclamation marks and clichés” of WW was what inspired the dialogue.

Does much of this programme survive? Would be interested to hear some more of this. Particularly interested in some episodes between Sep 69 and Feb 71.
