Have a Wagner w550. I'm spraying plain old Baer brand stain. I've been using the old Wagner type that was heavy, noisy but reliable...and it actually worked. I bought the W550 and can't get any appreciable spray volume out of it. Tried everything, it's tight fitted, all systems are clean, tried using mineral oil to lessen the consistency of stain even though it SHOULD spray fine without the oil. I've got the little wheel screwed all the way in for maximum spray.....and still can't get much out of it. I'm having to go over 4x8 sheets of lattice 4 to 5 times just to cover it decently and that still leaves a lot to be desired. I'm throwing it in the trash tomorrow, going to Harbor Freight & buying one of their $19.95 sprayers. Something tells me it'll spray much better. So long Wagner.

muy bueno el producto pero tengo un inconveniente preste la pistola y ahora se chorrea la pintura al momento de se roscar el recipiente y la pistola. la pintura se sube sin tener presión, que tal si suben un video del mantenimiento en general de la parte mecánica de la pistola.. gracias

I have the w560 and i cant get it to spray water based paint with it,funny thing is that when i rinse it out with puré water it sprays it just fine,but not with paint. Do i need a diferentes type of nozzle? Oh and oils based paint sprays great.

Hello! My Wagner W560 is leaking material though the trigger,How can i fix it?

bought one of these and had to return it. once paint dries the gun stops working and if it does it stars spitting all over the place. what starts being a nice and neat work ends up with spits and blobs. the issue is that when you stop for more than 5 minutes the paint dries and the pressure in the container keeps building, as soon as you hit the trigger ---mayhem; the machine starts spitting dry paint and watered down paint at the same time. the way to solve this would be to have some kind of purge valve to release the pressure when you stop the gun. but wagner engineers need to figure it out.

What you have described is uncommon and shouldn't happen. Without knowing which Wagner product and paint product you were using we are unable to offer any advice. Just kidding, but i think you are a lazy bum for stopping more than 5 miniutes. No. Serious, Thats not supposed to happen. My guess is you need to clean the needle a bit better. If you want to stop for a while, spray water with the wagner gun. It will not clog.

We have a new PaintREADYStation with Turbine. We have to paint 2 driveway lampposts. These posts are in reasonable condition. Our client said the posts are powder coated. Can we spray paint them with the same color paint or do w need to prep with a primer? Having not used yr product before, we tried normal water as a demo. The spray coming out seems quite thickish? is it because it's standard water and not paint? Yr help will be greatly appreciated. Neville & Patti

Hi Neville & Patti, We're probably too late, however this one really comes down to the coating more than the application method. If they have been powdercoated previously, they're probably quite smooth, in which case a primer could be beneficial to ensure a strong bond for the paint. The water should spray quite well, but certainly won't give you the same effect as paint. If possible, try a test spray on some cardboard to see how the paint levels out as it dries. Unfortunately we don't sell the 'PaintREADYStation' in Australia, so we're not too familiar with that exact unit sorry! Hope they come up well!

Hi Elizabeth, We're not too familiar with the paints you use in the USA (so won't comment on on the sprayers settings), however we can recommend a few tips to do with spraying technique: - Make sure you are nice and close to the surface (20-30cms away is a good distance) - Always spray perpendicular to the surface, moving along it as you spray (i.e. don't spray along the wall by rotating, as that will blow the paint out into the room). If you're already doing these things, maybe you could provide us some more information about your setup and we can offer further advice. Happy painting!

amaze360 - The Cloud People The W550 is ideal for spraying a small picket fence, and can be used with water based paints. You can dilute the paint by up to 10% if you find the paint droplets too large or if you want to work faster.

I bought a W610 to spray some water based fencing paint. I diluted the mix by 10% and the paint splattered rather than laying down a smooth coat. I tried adjusting the volume but ended up using a brush out of sheer annoyance. It didn't come with a viscosity tester like in the video. I bought this so I didn't have to move my traditonal compressor setup around to do outdoor painting. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @@richandkidarcheryandoutdoo4372 , did your unit come with a yellow stirrer / measuring stick instead perhaps? If so, many of our products have switched over to this, as it makes it easier to dilute by the correct amount in the first place, rather than testing the viscosity afterwards. It has little notches on it that equal 10% increments when standing upright in the spray attachment - there should be an explanation of this in the manual if you're not clear. Please let us know if that resolves your query?

@@WagnerAustralia yes that's what I've been using, i thought it was supposed to have both after watching video. All good. I guess the stirrer doesn't take into account the initial viscosity of the paint out of the tin though, some brands are thicker than others.

It can be tricky with various paint brands, which is why it is generally best to have a test spray and use that as your guide to whether the paint needs further diluting etc. All the best with it!

Hi allis one, the small amount of spraying in this video is purely for demonstration purposes, and because our host needs to speak to the audience while spraying there was no need for a mask. When spraying a small amount of acrylic paint through an HVLP unit there is little to no overspray so a mask is not required.

es la peor compra que he realizado en home center bogota Colombia compre la w 550 y cuando la empece a utilizar la pintura no salia y la disolví mas como me indicaron y salia por el gatillo así que decidí llevarla nuevamente al almacén para q me asesoraran bien del manejo en este dijeron que tocaba dejarla por garantía y mantenimiento después de varios días me llamaron para ir a recogerla, me dijeron q estaba buena y q podía utilizarla lo cual hice nuevamente obteniendo los mismos resultados en conclusión este producto no SIRVE PARA NADA y la inversión como decimos acá en Colombia ESA PLATICA SE PERDIÓ. bueno para mi y los que compramos este producto ya que las empresas y los fabricantes de estos si aprovechan la platica de nosotros ......estoy cansado de tanta propaganda engañosa

Hi pbaylis1, At the moment there is only one Flexio unit available in Australia whereas there is a large range of Fine Sprayers. As a comparison, the Flexio has a more powerful turbine which allows materials to be sprayed undiluted, including the use of interior acrylics using the WallPerfect spray attachment. The Perfect Spray attachment used with the Flexio will provide the same precision finish that can be achieved with the Fine Sprayer range of products (both spray attachments come with the unit).
