Wagner flexio 3500 paint sprayer reviews

Using the Wagner 3500 paint sprayer to remodel my house. I used behr premium plus paint. No thinning was necessary.

@@Stiehl-gk4wo It was great for the square, closed off rooms (bedrooms, office, etc) but I ended up going back to roller for the other spaces that had more to deal with (kitchen cabinets, large openings, wood stove, etc)

I just got this one recently and the first time I used it I had to add water to thin the paint. Did you have to do the as well?

By the time you tape and cover, spray paint, roll it and remove the tape. It’s probably faster to just use a roller.

Your results are way different though you don’t buy this to save time you buy this for a factory finish, the amount of paint you use is cut in half. I use hlvp gun for work and nothing beats spraying vs a roller and especially a brush on trim.

By the time you have masked up I’ve already rolled the ceilings and onto the walls. I used to spray in industrial jobs as this is my professional trade as a decorator in the uk, and on a price too much faffing hence why I’d only do the spraying is for the woodwork in voids but properties is time consuming and again brush/mini roller job done and it’s all about the system which is crucial in my trade. The pros about spraying is to save extra energy well that’s the thought process behind these products and coverage and speed but the end results is lots more work in hand before you can start and prep the gun and get the correct consistency prior to starting the gun, price work this can be a headache 🤕 and usually u end up back on the scuttle and roller and brush anyway old school way but been around for ever and works. But DIYers doesn’t matter as it’s not their skill trade so alls good I guess 🙏

I’d thought about that too but if you have help masking everything off it’s alright. If you’re doing the whole thing yourself I’d just roll & brush

Was thinking about getting this sprayer today, thank you for this video! It looks like it will do exactly what I want it to do. One question, are you using Latex paint? And did you have to thin it at all, or is that straight from the can? Thank you :)

I’m using paint from Home Depot the girl told me that if you buy from them. They are required to have paint ready for those sprayers and no thinning is necessary.

I just used it for the first time and it left a splattered edge that I couldn’t tune out. However after watching your video, it looks like you’re having the same effect. Is it just normal?

no just means it needs to be cleaned out properly, but i use a roller just in case. The weather has alot to do with it as well

Spraying is 4-8 times faster than brushing. You get a better finish, and it’s much quicker. It’s all about whether you can do all the masking up and spray vs brush.

No you just need it on the correct settings

Bro that's so slow you should buy an commercial grade airless sprayer paint pump the one that pumps straight from the bucket or has a hopper. Titan 440, graco magnum, xl, ultra 390, Wagner paint crew etc. Those will save you time, has a much wider fan so you are less likely to get the striping effect. You can get a cheap machine on Facebook marketplace for under $200 and rebuild it, clean it etc. Parts are readily available for the models I listed.

Because that was the first time using it and my settings weren’t correct right away. So I was getting weird paint splatter.

Me and a couple people I know bought this sprayer. None of us had any luck with it. It works with water just fine, paint is too thick. Waste of money

DON'T BUY THIS SPRAYER! COMPLETE PIECE OF GARBAGE!!! I tried using it to paint our guest room. I made it across one wall and was so frustrated with how poorly this sprayer worked I switched back to my roller. I waited two weeks to cool down and then decided I would give it another try. I did some research to see what I could change to improve my results. I thinned my paint and tried again. I got one wall done and went to add more paint and the unit now won't squeeze out a drop. I'm back to my roller. There is nothing faster about this unit. You need twice as long to prep the room for painting and then all the time you will spend trying to get to sprayer to actually work, you could have just rolled it and been done already. Also all the stuff about how quick it is to clean up. Not true.
