She wasn’t lucky. She believed that she was the zombie child after Kelly wanted her to kill her. She chose Keiji to verify his identity as a good person and killed herself so that she will not become a zombie child the next round. It was a smart play.

And if she did turn, she still had a pretty high chance of winning as a killer. Lingyi has a high chance of winning regardless as killer or good guys. If Lingyi challenged Kelly instead of Keiji, and if we assume Xixi did not random poison. Killers kill 10 and they vote 5 and Lingyi is now a killer. Next night, all they have to do is kill Xixi and Killers win. Lingyi is very hard to find as Killer when she is confirmed as Knight as there is no detective or playboy. If Xixi did random kill Nic, then Jason is the last killer and she won’t turn into a Killer so she wins as a good guy. It was pretty much impossible for Lingyi to lose considering how things played out. If she challenged Keiji, this video happens. If she challenged Kelly, what I said above would happen.

The zombie child doesn't know that they're the zombie child not until the Zombie killer got killed first. Then the zombie child will know that they are the zombie child. Lingyi challenged Keiji instead of Kelly because Lingyi thought that kelly was the Zombie killer "Thinking that another killer will wake up, she doesn't know that it's her she just doesn't want another killer showing up as a GOOD person. Kelly wants Lingyi to challenge her. SO the zombie child lives before the zombie killer dies.
