Wahoo Element Rival Overview
The Elemnt Rival is Wahoo’s first sports watch and it carries the practical functionality Wahoo products are known for. While it can be used for a variety of sports, it is designed primarily for triathletes so there is an obvious focus on running, swimming and cycling.
A built-in GPS records your movement through the different stages of a race with unique features like ‘touchless transition’ and ‘live track.’ The former means you don’t have to press any button when you transition from one of the 3 sports to another and the latter lets you send messages informing friends and loved ones of your progress during a race or training.
This is a smartwatch but could definitely do with a few more smart features to improve overall user experience.

The rival, sadly, is a big failure. Full of important bugs and not maintained anymore. You should not buy it.

But to use the Rival Smartwatch with cell phone need to download both Wahoo & Elemnt apps. Then Elemnt app requires scanning in QR code in manual. Sorry, I don't scan in those. Probably returning it.

Don’t buy this watch, my lasted for 4 months before it completely died on me. Wahoo customer service is poor and wouldn’t replace the product. The app is terrible. My advice, go for a garmin.
