The Cleveland Indians had a phenomenal year in 1995. They were the most exciting team in baseball. Every night, Jacobs Field was jammed with screaming fans. And seemingly every night, the Indians rewarded them. They came from behind in the most dramatic fashion. More than 25 times at home they won in their last at-bat.
**Up until recently, I've been downloading my personal VHS collection. However, the collection is obviously limited. I started a Patreon page to better find and purchase old VHS videos on EBAY and other websites, as well as at garage sales and other locations that might have VHS available, so I can upload them for all to see and share for free. See it here: / tombombadil
And incredibly, during one 42-game stretch, the Indians won 9 times with dramatic game-ending home runs, including:
July 18, Albert Belle's Slam beats Lee Smith and the Angels
July 6, Manny Ramirez beats Eckersley and the A's
June 4, Paul Sorrento caps nine-run rally vs. Jays
This video showcases the most remarkable finishes at Jacobs Field, with actual game highlights, unbelievable play-by-play calls, and exclusive interviews.
All the heroics of: Albert Belle, Eddie Murray, Carlos Baerga, Manny Ramirez, Kenny Lofton, Jim Thome, Paul Sorrento, Sandy Alomar, Omar Vizquel, and the rest of the Tribe.

That '95 Indians was AMAZING!! The only team in MLB to win 100 games, 51 come from behind wins, 27 wins in their last at-bat, and 15 last at-bat wins at home, including 7 wins by a walk-off home run!! No lead, however big, was safe playing against that team!!

I agree with you! This was my favorite MLB seasons of all-time! It was Dave Winfield's final season because he was not going to participate in the postseason. They added Cal Ripken's brother Billy. But he did not participate back then.

There is something I love alot about these 90s Indians teams. I am a Braves fan, but anytime they played the Indians it was a big deal to me. I love Cleveland fans so much. I just hate the name change. I hope Cleveland can get their much deserved world series one year.

I'm 36 years old. I believe the baseball team you grew up watching will always mean the most to you, even if they were bad. Luckily I watched these guys. They were never champions, but they were always great. I was a lucky kid to have been born in NE Ohio in the mid 80s, and grew up in the 90s and 2000s. I still root for the "Guardians," but none of it means as much to me as it used to. Frankly, I would rather keep living in the past and watch old games on KZbin every summer.

Totally agree. I’m the same age as you, and me and all my friends were absolutely obsessed with those mid to late 90s Indians. Really, the whole city was. I’ve never seen a more beloved Cleveland team, not even the 2016 Cavs.

Yes, I so agree with 1995 being the most phenomenal year. My youngest son and I watched every single game. His fav. player was Manny Ramirez, mine was Kenny Lofton. I wish I was there in 1995 to watch at least one game. We did go to Cleveland in 1997 though. I wished I was there to see the GW by Manny in 5-17-76 We played the Texas Rangers and their pitcher was Gil Heredia who Manny hit the GW Grand Slam off of making it 10- 11 . Then, Albert Belle with a RBI single, brought Kenny in making it 10-12 . So glad we won! I still have Kenny Lofton's Starter Jersey which is still looking like new. I miss those 90's years and so does my son. "Indians Fan For Life"!!!

As a new fan back then, I thought that it was the norm for everyone to hit 300. I get so disappointed when I see a team batting .271 lead all of baseball or to see the Indians/Guardians have a team batting average hovering around .250. What an exciting team to break in with.

The Cleveland Indians 1995 liieup was the real Murderer's Row. No lead by any team they played was safe, no opposing pitcher could make even one mistake the entire time he was on the mound, and the intimidation factor when playing in front of the those deafening Cleveland sellout home crowds who never, ever let up one minute was something to behold. It was lightning in a bottle.

I remember that June 4th game. It was a clear, cool, sunny day, and I had gone up to Tino's at Mayfield and Warrensville for a few cold ones. Toronto got all over Grimsley, but, in the second, I told the owner, and the one other patron, the Tribe was going to come back and win. The owner gave a round on the house (I think there were 5 or 6 people there by then) when Sorrento knocked that one out!
