Wai Wai World Last Boss & Ending

From the Famicom game. Wai Wai World was made by Konami and starred many of the characters from that time period, some of which were licensed characters. You could play as Simon Belmont, King Kong, a Moai, Mikey from the Goonies, Fuma, Geomon, Konami Man, and Konami Lady.
The last level is entered by destroying the outer shell of a space alien in a Gradius style shooter level. Once in the last level, it is evocative of the last level of Contra, with the boss music lifted from that game's last level.
