Have not gone that route into Kailua before. We take the Pali Hwy. I like the tunnels and the kids hold their breath going through them. Had a nice chat with the gentleman in house right by the Lanikai marker one day...super nice man. I was raving about how lovely his house and view were. This area is my idea of heaven, thanks for the video reminder.

Wow, this was a "walking down memory lane" trip. I always enjoyed the drive along the coast and stopping at the Blow Hole. Waimanalo has changed a lot. I left home in January 1962. Shortly thereafter my folks moved to a house on Keolu Hills Drive. Spent a lot of time at Kailua Beach Park and on one of our trips home, we had lunch with friends at Buzz's. Mahalo for these road trips.

Just sublime, thx for the vid. I wonder if you could drive to Shark Cove and show the beach and water or is that a voilation? Or maybe it's too long of a trip? (Across the street, Northshore Taco's is our favorite place on the island for shrimp taco's) BTW, great ending - did you plan that? ;)

Aloha!~ ScottDLR, Yes, my final destination was Kailua Beach parking lot. But there was no parking space, so I just turned out. ^^ The beautiful girls in the ending seemed to be welcoming me :) ^^ @ScottDLR 'Shark's Cove' is also my favorite scuba diving spot and snorkeling spot. I will definitely go and shoot as soon as possible. ^^ And I will definitely try your favorite Northshore Taco's shrimp. ^^ Mahalo for watching!! ^^
