I bought the Acer BiFrost 7800XT a few months ago for €503,- It was the only AMD card in that price range that gave me the power I wanted and was small enough to fit in my build. I have to say, I am quite happy with it. :)

​@@brzroman the memory goes up to 90 yeah, but not up to 95. But I undervolted and overclocked it a bit (not much, only to 1100mV and 2501MHz on the Memory). I also set the max fan speed to 75%. The card is also mounted vertically in my case and sits in an NZXT H7 Flow and gets lots of air. All of this might contribute to the temperatures to some degree.

8:34 "AMD cards run hotter" - I question that claim in modern times. Yes, 4070s rarely get above 65°C, but many 7800 XT models like ones from XFX and Sapphire sit under 60°C with significantly higher power usage. There's just more variance between the best and worst models from what I gather. My guess is that AMD is easier for inexperienced GPU manufacturers like Acer to get into making AIB cards for, however some AMD AIB partners (like XFX and Sapphire) just make stupidly overbuilt coolers to harness the full overclocking abilities and power draw of mid-range AMD cards.

I was really impressed by the model and this video pretty much drove me towards grabbing one this month. I’m surprised this is like the only youtube video on this particular GPU model at the time. Really beautiful card in my opinion.

Isn't this a vapor chamber designed cooler? Not all vapor chambers are the same but mounting orientation may alter the performance of the cooler. It seems that most vapor chamber cards like to lay traditional and horizontally with the PCIe slots, not sure if that would throw off testing or not. The discussion regarding the lack of flow through design is strange. The PCB is the length of the card, flow through is not possible unless the design criteria was for a narrow and long card. In that design you cannot have any flow through unless your cooler extends past the PCB. The idea of flow through isn't to exhaust out of the case, it's a design choice on what to do and how to make the most efficient use of a cooler and fan train that extends past a PCB. For those air-cooling CPUs hot air will be ingested by the CPU cooler from a flow through GPU. None of this will matter without data but even warm air has plenty of heat it can further absorb and exit the case environment.

for me this card looks fine, if u dont want rgb overload in your system. in a compact-like case, in black with only the ram sticks has rgb and the rest of the system is minimalistic this would be a fine buy for a better price. if this thing hits the 450 range, i guess it would be awesome.

Nice review. Maybe it's overall performance to it's compact size might be the best selling point. Being a little shorter - will allow it to fit in to more cases and you don't lose out on performance.
