Wait condition in workflow in CRM 365 - Timeout Conditions in Dynamics 365

if 100's of employee records are created then that much number of process instance will remain actively hanging till action/timeout condition is met.

Yes they will be in waiting state be it 100 or any number

True, why just we don't have another WF on the status change to permanent. I think, wait condition is more useful if you want recurring call to the same WF after certain period of time like scheduling.
