This is what Kanami, the composer, said about this song: "What is 'life?', 'being alive?' etc, I produced this song with the biggest theme in the history of BAND-MAID. A lot has happened over the past three and a half years. It made me think. What does it mean to live? Is there such a thing as heaven? How was your life like? Were you happy along the way? The proof you lived, If I could represent your life with this song... as such, I included such a message, I created this song in the hope of leaving a song of what I think of 'life' is. I did not talk to the vocalist SAIKI about the theme in depth, but the lyrics brought tears to my eyes. Getting to know BAND-MAID and I will be happy if this song will remain in your heart." They are primarily a Hard Rock band but have used Metal, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Punk and a few other genres in their songs.

Epic song from the appropriately name album "Epic Narratives". Band-Maid is the genre...as they mix and match at will. Thanks for coming back to the Maids. They just keep adding to their great discography. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

If only they were US citizens... we need the congress to change the constitution to allow five female member Japanese bands to be co-presidents. They would usher in a new age of absolute bliss!

The songs already released earlier in the year are just Band-Maid awesomesauce! The six new songs are so tightly integrated and complex, it's going to take a Tokyo minute to assimilate. But I already love Forbidden Tale, and especially The One. 😉🤘 btw - We should all wish a "Good Luck" to Band-Maid's new self-run management company: Maidit, Co., LTD! Will they managing other bands, boost Cluppo and Maiko projects, or tour more internationally? Or maybe they will expand their business interest to other sectors of the music biz outside of Band-Maid. I believe Kanami wants to get more into composing, scoring and production. And as for Miku and Saiki, the sky's the limit for what they'll want to do in merch, fashion and art, etc.. Thx, Squish!

If you love riffs, Kanami Tono will be your new inspiration. She throws more great riffs away writing one song than most guitarists create in a career. Just saying. Other songs with killer riffs? - “Dice” - OMV - “After-Life” - OMV - “Hibana” - no vídeo- see “Sense” Releases - “Manners / Black Hole” - OLV Have you done - “Hate?” - OLV The Maids will keep you busy for a lifetime learning their riffs. Angus & Malcom Young move over, the Maids are rock’s new riff masters. 🤷🏻♂️ (just sayin’) 😂 Where is “Pax”? In the Australian Outback? Take care and rock on! 🤘🏼🔥🎸🥁🎤🎶🙌🏼🌎😎✌🏼☮️

Excellent! Thank you for sharing this! I've done a reaction to "Hate? (LIVE)" which was so cool! I'll have to note all those other songs, especially if they have riffs! 👀 PAXAUS is Australia's biggest gaming convention, I enjoyed my weekend there over the last few days. It was a fantastic event where I was invited to be an official content creator :) It was so cool to also see everything from Retro Game consoles to the future of gaming and more. I'll be uploading a vlog about it later on if you're interested in checking that out. Thanks so much for your comment! 🤘🤘

Try the song The One Official Music Video next. Multi genre and some acoustic guitar in the mix. I'm into jazz rock fusion so liking this stuff is easy for me. More dissonance please.

This song reminds me of something off of American Idiot
@SquishyJoshyАй бұрын
It might be the tone of the guitars. Probably because there are a bit of Pop Punk elements involved as well with the subtle acoustic guitar. I can definitely hear it 🤔

Genres are useful for describing music but there's no reason a song has to stay in one genre. Some bands like Ailifdopa and Paledusk go to extremes in cramming as many different genres as they can into one song.
@SquishyJoshyАй бұрын
Yeah, I like cool genre switchups! As long as they add to the music :)
