This show deserved more love like 6teen stoked and total drama. America and Canada can make some very fun cartoons back in the 2000s and 2010s that I can watch anytime as an adult and they still hold up Everyone please watch this show without getting spoiled. It'll have you begging for the next episode as things expand

This was a really good show. I loved how the mystery of the entire prank is a back drop to each episode slowly piecing everything together Similar to Scooby Doo mystery incorporated

Well both moville mysteries and detentionaire are highschool and early collage versions of gravity falls Both Canadian, nelvana shows, badly treated by America and heavyly inspired by cosmic horror novels and dark company conspiracy coverups

This was a rather... *interesting* series to say the least. It had a simple premise of an average student who is framed for a crime he did not commit, wanting to learn more and find out what really happened. Said premise became very intriguing and inviting in how our protagonist learns there is something deeper going on. Tying in otherworldly/supernatural elements. Inviting the audience to want to learn more and leaving mysteries to figure out.

Ending is great where mc gets the right girl. Just ignore the robots and it's basically perfect I loved how it was 6teen in reverse where the school is the most important part of the world.

Are there any TV shows with any episode's that are about the protagonist and their friends trying to escape school🏫? Especially when it's a boarding school that has a lame rule like "All students must stay in on-campus housing and are forbidden to leave the campus except for certain special occasions. Additionally, contact with all outsiders is forbidden, including family and guardians". Because I'd definitely like to see that happen in an animated TV show. Also, it makes me wish for Kiyotaka Ayanokoji (Classroom of the Elite) and possibly some of his friends/allies to try and leave the campus of their school called "Advanced Nurturing High School" somehow which would be pretty interesting, especially if there's a secret passage.

Detentionaire was a hyperfixation of mine for a solid year and it pains me how absolutely no one I knew ever heard of it. Thankfully the people I did show it to ended up enjoying its entirety. To this day I still rewatch it atleast once year and I still have so much fun with it. It really sucks it couldn't find enough success and its story couldn't see itself to completion. One of my favorite things about Detentionaire was how well it set up its mysterious, twists, and character development- to the point where I was always anticipating every episode. It never felt like my time was wasted! In my opinion, it really did feel like a story with a lot of love and interest put into it. One day I hope some executive/producer gives Detentionaire another chance- a girl can dream!

I watched the whole series on KZbin and honestly really good show I enjoyed the story, the characters and the whole mystery and conspiracy involving Lee. However my only negative for this show is that they left it sort of opened end that just leaves even more questions that need to be answered and maybe they were expected a another season being greenlit but I just felt they could have ended it in a way that answered all the major questions at least but still left it open for a another season for a new mystery or something.

This show had such a unique idea and lore behind it. Every episode upped the ante and every season upped the stakes. Soon it wasn’t just about clearing your name it was about the school and when it wasn’t about the school it became about the world. By the end of the series, which did not get a proper ending sadly, they had gone in such a bonkers direction I can only imagine how the rest of the series would have gone. Like everything else that was so good it ended too soon, I hope this will one day get a proper ending, but I won’t hold my breath.

One thing that I find interesting is the amount of representation in this cartoon that at the same time makes it so normal. Like Lee and his friends are all from foreign background, and this was really before the real push for Hollywood to address said issue. Kind of like How To Train Your Dragon being about a MC that has a physical disability, but at the same time you don’t really notice it at all, cause of how well the writing is. Like sure there’s benefits to watching stories about people’s differences. But I also think, and especially for children’s shows. Having people normalized, that you don’t even think about the differences is also beneficial.

Damn dude i was thinking about that series just a couple of days ago, the plot was great, the character were different enough and super random and charismatic and thye mistery always keep me on aedge to know what the hell was going to happen and then CANCEL series damn it. I'm prettu sure if this thing got the green light for another season they could rap things up and may one of the most epic finals that a cnadian series has ever had.
