I looked up that date and it was when 12,500 US soldiers landed on the northern and southern ends of Attu island . Anyway, I was wondering if it would be worth more then $5.00. I was Note searching the other day and I got a $1 Note where the Serial numbers could be read by a blind person. Mean no offense there! But the digits are raised so high they're like Braille. Super crisp Note also. Just felt weird to me when I picked it up.

Checking with local coin shops are the best place to start. Or you may even consider bigger cities that will have multiple coin shops. If you're in south Alabama, check Mobile or possibly even down into Florida. Central Alabama, Montgomery or over into Columbus, Georgia. East Alabama, you may want to go to Atlanta, Georgia. North Alabama has many options between Birmingham, Huntsville, and even up into Tennessee.

For reference I am a huge fan of some of these ocd inspired things. I put every bill in my hands in chronological alpha-numeric order. I am a small scale amateur coin/bill collector. But by making these announcements on brand new stuff you are ultimately destroying the value. It's like the beany baby or the "still in original packaging" thing. Too many people will decide "this will have inflated value in the future" and keep hold on it, meaning the anticipated future market will be choked out with an over abundance. Okay, in 15 years that $20 may be worth $21 to a collector whoopdy doo. But I did not know they were still printing $2 bills.
