Hey hope everyone enjoys the video! Let me know what you guys think and what games I should cover next! (Also I somehow uploaded this as SD instead of HD cause I’m an idiot, sorry)

My friends and I use to play this ALL The time! We all used to be pretty even until I unlocked everyone. You see I was the owner of the game and to unlock everything I became EXTREMELY good! I could counter anything my friends try on me. Eventually all my friends started jumping me in the free fights😂

The Gameboy Advance version was pretty cool, like a condensed, less advanced (no pun intended) version of the bigger games. I, too was a huge Ultimate Muscle fan. Had the games, watched the show, read the manga, even had a couple action figures

I’ll have to check it out then. Thanks for letting me know!

Dude me and my brothers LOVEDA this game . We played it so much the dusk wrapped and we had to get a new copy. We used to yell DicDicvanDic and hit each other with all the moves from the game we could realistically perform. Plus we loved making custom characters that always looked like reskinned mega mans 😂

We all do, but unfortunately we're in the age of Bandai Namco's endless cheap arena anime fighters. And AKI has unfortunately been defunct for a good while.

I remember when Fox Kids became the Fox Box. Of all the shows that were brought on during that transition Ultimate Muscle was one of the better ones. I remember that they brought over Ultra Man Tiga with the change too.

@MasterGamer15Ай бұрын
fun fact. Pandaman was actually a character created by Eiichiro Oda and was submitted to Yudetamago to be used in the Kinnikuman manga back in the 80s, and is now that same character is a recurring cameo character of Oda being used in One Piece

I always wanted to play it growing up. I know about it from the pages of EGM when it was announced and who made it. For some reason the local rental version was scratched and wouldn’t play on my GameCube. My original Wii modded had trouble playing it, and my oc could never hand emulating it as a kid. I finally played it on a modded wiki with a GameCube controller and it rocks so hard
@KillaCheeto56Ай бұрын
My cousin and I put a lot of time into this back in the day. We made quite a few abominations in the character creator. Good times.

The thing is that if we ever get another Kinnikuman fighting game (and I hope we do, especially if it includes characters from the Omega Centauri and Choushin arcs after Perfect Origin), there isn't likely to be much if any representation for Kinnikuman Nisei/Ultimate Muscle. Generally that whole series is seen as a spinoff and seems to be basically forgotten in Japan, as opposed to the Perfect Origin Arc which appears to be beloved by the Kinnikuman fandom (keep in mind that the Perfect Origin manga began in 2011, they were really late with the anime adaptation), with the final fight of it in particular being regarded among the most iconic moments in the series. I don't think its going to be like a Dragon Ball GT situation where even though Dragon Ball Super replaced it in canon we still got Super Saiyan 4 added to games for the nostalgia dollar.
@Vesven1Ай бұрын
That’s true. Wish that Japan actually cared about Ultimate Muscle. I actually would be completely fine with just a completely Kinnikuman roster as some of my favorite fighters from the ultimate muscle game are the legends haha like skullduggery
@elneco4654Ай бұрын
@@Vesven1 It's not really that they don't care, but the original Nisei was a bit spiteful knowing the prior series. Most of the former cast the audience grew to love are either too old to do anything (most notably: Ramenman, a character so beloved it got its own spinoff manga/anime/game, gets jobbed out immediately by episode 1), or otherwise things like young good guy Brocken Jr. (whose father was an actual poison gas spewing, funny cross wearing nat) becoming a deadbeat dad. It took a whole new manga to fix a bit of that. But since we're speaking of the current manga, there's some UM elements starting to seep in (without getting into spoilers).
@dead_cruiser_4713Ай бұрын
There were more games after for the original Kinnikuman on PS2 too "Muscle Grand Prix" which got the street fighter 2 treatment of many releases and additions. Different style of fighting/wrestling game though.
@Vesven1Ай бұрын
Were they any good? Might have to check them out
@elneco4654Ай бұрын
@@Vesven1 Yes, yes they are. Fun fact, both the MGP games and the Generations/UM games were made by AKI Corporation of WWF No Mercy/Def Jam fame.

I'm making guides for this game if you like it, and it's playable on Dolphin netplay! Is quite deep and interesting once you analyze all the support combinations and combat system; Yes, Galactic Wrestling(Kinnikuman Generations) is slower and kinda worse compared to LvNG

@elneco4654Ай бұрын
Basically, in Kinnikuman lore they're humans (and some are aliens too) that have been given their powers by gods. Not only that, they can be turned back to human as well.
@deathsceaneАй бұрын
Normally I wouldn't admit to this until I had a copy but I played the GBA version via emulation and to save you some grief it's not really good. The melee attack you have is barely used and the CPU grabs you instantly. The grappling is probably where it's at its weakest but it's 90% of your fighting in the ring. The grappling system doesn't rely on button mashing or pressing a sequence of buttons fast enough, but a well timed button press on a blink and you'll miss it colorful sliding power gauge (like how you would see in golf games only frustrating) and because you're so caught up in trying to land a grapple for advantage you may stop the slider in the red zone. Even after you get the hang of it you're going to forget how to get a feel for how it works. If you want the Kinnikuman experience on a handheld you're better off getting a WonderSwan where there is at least one Kinnikuman game that plays more like an updated version of M.U.S.C.L.E. which is a good thing.
