Great video! Q105 is always one of my favorite B&A trains because it has so much power. I saw it once with 8 engines, 2 of which were Conrail and they were coupled up together!

Sweet... I had a good day of railfanning today, you know how it goes down here, haha. On a completely unrelated subject, the Amtrak 97 derailed in Virginia south of Washington, DC. lol.

Good old I90 ditch. Used to spend many a happy afternoon there after school (I went to Newton North) watching trains. Best part about it: Overhead shots from the stairs. Worst part about it: Commuter rail blocking your view of freights.

Not really bad I heard, it happened on CSX quality track, of course, and they were going 69 MPH. But Apparently it was just the lead loco and only 2 injuries reported from 712 passengers. Probably split a rail and slid to a stop. Anyway, I was supposed to be at Sand Patch Sat-Mon, but my parents bailed on the idea of that trip, so hopefully next weekend I can go and get some CSX snow shots. I'm not regretting staying home so far... Saturday was DEAD out there, and I got blues here lol.

Haha! I know EXACTLY what you mean! I've ALMOST got boned a few times now, but the commuters have all either cleared JUST IN TIME or RIGHT AFTER the yellow noser blasted through. You saw it in better days, to my knowledge there are only 6 CSX trains that pass through those pike-stations a day now, 4 of which go through at night. THIS one will be daylighted once it hits the beginning of summer thankfully.

Haha soak it up while you still can, cuz if you decide to come up here in New England...its VERY different where you'll be fanning! In a good way though don't worry. At least you had a good day of fanning, I can't say the same. I went out on Pan Am Southern yesterday, sat on the single iron and didn't see ONE freight car roll by me, all Amtrak Downeaster's and the oh-so-usual T. How bad was the derailment? I'm sure it doesn't help that I'll be riding the corridor this weekend...uh oh. :P

Haha to my knowledge (which is FAR from correct since I'm a newbie to the B&M), almost all of Pan Am's roadfreights run as needed, so they can pull out of a yard whenever they happen to be called. I remember seeing on the GuilfordRailSightings Yahoo group (not sure if you're a member of that) that the NMED and EDMN both ran the Saturday after, and at LEAST one emtpy bucket train came down from NH or Mount Tom too...grrr. Haha, I'd head out to East Deerfield IF I had a set of wheels on me...

Hahaha yea, that's CSX for you. But I'm pretty sure that half of that power was from one of the three eastbounds that terminated in Boston earlier that day. That train is going to be normal-sized once it hits Worcester 35 miles west of where I shot it, where the majority of its consist gets added on. The typical "rule" for the westbound TV trains on this line is 3 units for once it hits the hill in the Berkshires in western MASS, so I'm guessing thats why it was so stacked last night.

@Chessiecat97 Yeah, Q105 always seems to be stacked. I've seen it many times with the same or more locomotives than container loads coming out here in the Boston area haha. Still havn't gotten a CR unit out here yet since I've been in college, which is a shame. Oh well, I guess I can't expect much when there are only around 30 left still wearing blue on the CSX roster.

Oh shit, I WAS just about to get on your short ass as to "Where is the music in the vid?" haha But you saved it until the end. I mean, it wouldn't be an Aliceinchains243 vid if it didn't have some music in it for hell's sake! LOL But, cold railfanning, ya gotta love it! Nice vid btw!
