Sorry Wajahat you got it wrong. The secret deal IK is taking about is not from when he was in power. This deal was struck through Pres. Arif Alvi in Nov 2022 when IK's approval was needed to choose Asim Muneer for appointment of Chief of Army out of 5 people nominated at the time. Hope this clears the confusion and the article would make sense now..
