As an amateur, when I photograph for family and friends (but even then primarily for myself) I have a "hack" - I tell them, "here's one photo for you to start with (my favorite from the group) and I'll need time to edit the others so I'll send them to you in a couple of days". I love your stories and nuggets of wisdom!
