Aside from being really cool, the persona 1 motif from the beginning isn’t actually the original persona theme. It’s the game over and bad ending music, and aside from the jazy persona 3 remix is used as a motif when really bad stuff happens or as the game over music for Q2. Really interesting when put in the context of persona 5’s theme, all seems lost as first but you still have a chance. Stop those in power abusing the week, get revenge for your false arrest. Wake up, get up, get out there.

It kinda would be. Hashino is stepping down as P-Studio's game director (started with Persona 3, but directed some SMT games beforehand) and the JP voice actor of Igor passed away just before Persona 4 PS2 was released (a big reason why Igor is usually absent for spinoffs, all they have are his recorded voice lines from 3 and 4 that they have reused up to the near the end of Vanilla P5).
