Many parts could have been cut from being shown in the trailer, keeping some mystery and suspense on what that teen did and how each one is being hunted down for a murder that most of them are unaware of. For example: they could have cut both the scenes of the boy slipping on blood and hiding in a stall. Just show the guard following bloody footsteps into a stall, or just show the shot of the camera following those prints and make it seem like we are looking at it with the guard’s eyes. Maybe this could show that not only they are being hunted down like their hunter is a big game hunter, people interested in the movie would wonder where the blood came from and whose it is (and tbh, can’t tell if it’s from the girl or from the other guard). It could also create suspense and intrigue from the trailer alone, could make you wonder who is hiding there and if they’ll make it. But as you saw, we know who it is, we know where it came from, and it’s easy to tell how screwed he is. Removing suspense if you already saw the trailer, and chances are, you did (If marketing sells this well). This is just my thoughts, because it seems like the trailer spoiled like most of the first half and it really does feel like a “Don’t Breathe” copy.

Technically, Texas Chainsaw 2020 had a similar idea too. Leatherface may be a cannibal, but he didn't leave the town to kill folks and just sorta stayed there.
