Ingrid I think you should change the way you apply your moisturizer. If you put the moisturizer and the eye cream after your Spf 50, what you're doing is putting first a cream that block the absorption of the other two. What we recommended when I worked in a cosmetic store was firstable apply the eye cream (never in the eyelid because is going to get greasy and is an area that naturally has his own moister) than your face cream (extended until your neck and behind your ears) and then, go for the Spf. Please don't get offended with my comment, I just want to help because this was the doubt that everybody had when I worked in the cosmetic store, the correct order of the routine.

Wouldn't putting sunscreen on top of everything make you look greasy? And make your makeup application go on weird? I have super oily skin so I wouldn't even be able to put on makeup and look good, if I had to put it on top of sunscreen (literally everything always makes me grease up very fast).

Shoppingstar525 You'd probably have to find a sunscreen that is not only stable but one that doesn't make you look as greasy (which is sometimes hard to find for many of us). After applying, wait for about 20 minutes for the sunscreen to absorb before applying makeup. This has never given me any problems with makeup application. Since you say your skin is greasy, maybe try a primer.

It's a serum sunscreen so that's probably why she applied it first.

There some sunscreens that are special for oily skin that avoid getting greasy after their application. For example my skin is so dry and I have to look for one special for dry skin because, normally they get my skin super dry! But definitely, your moisturizers go first, then sunscreen after even when is a serum, because that serum is blocking the absorption of the other products. Also when people wear SPF, we have to reapply it like 3 hours later, because we lose protection with the pass of the hours. So I used to recommend have some wipes in the handbag and every 3 hours, clean your skin with the wipes and apply the sunscreen again. So... obviously everybody used to say... "but if I wear makeup the thing gets complicated"... I will suggest a minimal makeup and easy to reapply!.

missglamorazzi can you tell us, why are you applying sunscreen BEFORE moisturizing cream? As I know all sunscreens must be applied over any moisrurizer to create a protecting layer. If you apply sunscreen before - I think moisturizer can't penetrate to the skin. Or am I wrong? With lot of love, Anna.

No, actually there are two types of sunscreen: Chemical and Physical. Physical sunscreen or mineral sunscreen is always meant to be the last step of your skin care routine, but chemical sunscreen is meant to be used BEFORE your moisturizer. The chemical sunscreen needs to be on before so it can penetrate deeper layers of the dermis and provide the optimal protection. Physical sunscreens on the other hand are meant to be last because they are like a mask, and applying moisturizer is like rubbing it off. Both are meant to be reapply fifteen minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every two hours.
