Bruh, why so early? If you're in a trade where you have to work with customers, like electrician or plumber, I wouldn't want to meet the first customer before 8am... or are you working in a factory with shifts?
@kailars
@kailars Жыл бұрын
Because it's nice to be back at home early and have the afternoon off lazying! Mornings are crisp and serene and one gets stuff done. Not only craftsmen, all kinds of employees too, government here in Berlin had to forbid its tax employees and others to clock in before 7, so now most still come in and clock in later.

Depends on the distance to your job, but yes, starting 6am is quiet normal, und people are happy to come home 3pm and have the rest of the day off.
@JackoBanon1
@JackoBanon1 10 ай бұрын
@@jano1574 I used to have to communte for 2 hours in total everyday in my job as an industry electrician. So to be able to clock in at 6am (official start of the working time) I usually had to wake up at 04:30, get my morning routine done and have a small breakfast so that I could start driving before 5am to be there in time and work until 3pm. After driving home it was already 4pm in the afternoon. The advantage of it was that I only had to do this from Monday-Thursday and on Friday I would go home at noon and start my weekend at 1pm.

How do the other Germans start their day? Get up at 11:00, still having a hangover, lighting up a cigarette, than asking themselves: do I have to go the Arbeitsamt today? If the answer is yes - than drink a red bull and start to get ready for your appointment at 15:00. If the answer is no - than drink a beer, take a good breath from your bong and go back to sleep.

It's quite normal in rural areas such as villages in Germany as well. Nowadays, the children usually don't greet complete strangers passing by on the street anymore. But they'll probably freet neighbours they know. Otherwise, the entire village would talk about these unpolite children behind the backs of the family... The same is true for adults, of course.
