Wakehurst Place + its STUNNING fall colors (National Trust)

I visited Wakehurst Place, West Sussex in October to take full advantage of its stunning fall colors and it did not disappoint. Wakehurst Place is owned by the National Trust but managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens (same people who run Kew Gardens in London). Because the land it sits on is owned by the National Trust, it means National Trust members gain entry for free, only having to pay for parking.
From the brightly coloured Japanese Garden with its koi pond and stunning acers, to the Himalayan Glade with pheasants proudly strutting their stuff and loads of tits fluttering about, through to the North America section with its bright yellow maples and gigantic redwoods. It was a beautiful day out and I'd highly recommend a visit.

What are your thoughts on Wakehurst? Are there better places to see the autumn colours and fungi in the South East?

Very true. This is quite an old video from back when I didn't have much content on the channel and analytics were showing a lot of audience members in the US (maybe because my 1st series was from the US? Who knows) so I was tailoring it to my audience of the time!

Beautiful. I have visited several botanical gardens and am always partial to the Japanese gardens.

100% agree, there's something so unique about Japanese gardens, I think they're my favourite areas in these types of gardens. 🍁🍂
