If the carbs are set right and you have no fuel restrictions you do not need to touch the throttle at ALL during a cold start. Just choke

100% agreed. I'm still learning so just getting them running is big. Carb adjustment and sync is the next goal 🤙

I have an 88 zx10 in yhat same color scheme that ill be doing a top to bottom restoration of, same exhaust too, sounds the same! Did you tune it to run with it or does it have the same stock carbs/intake?

Also, what's that air inlet out front?

It was not tuned. I inherited a messy project. I got it running on eBay used carbs. I passed the project on once it was rideable
