Some of us were having a discussion about good blasters for young children, and this was my suggestion. No priming necessary, easy loading, no detachable pieces to lose, and an on/off switch are all excellent features for kids who are too young to use most blasters. It's also the only small flywheel revolver I can think of.

I used to have a Barricade in my original NERF collection because I largely ignored it, so it's sold / donated. As of now, I wish I kept it just in case if I'm really into double action revolvers but I'm typically an assault rifle guy.

ahh, the barricade... the first blaster I ever bought for myself. it replaced my longstrike, after it got left out in the rain, and broke (thank my brother for that) I loved it. I tried modding it to match up with todays blaster, no dice. ill probably buy a stockade and put the barricade motors in it.

There are some primary-style non-mag-fed blasters, such as the Doominator. A mag-fed secondary would pair that type of blaster perfectly; you could spam darts with the primary, and as you scavenge darts and/or reload the blaster, you can cover yourself with a mag-fed blaster, say, the Stryfe or some other semi-auto flywheeler.

The Barricade has some really good 3S capable motors, and the cage is swappable with the Stockade and the Stockade flywheels, I pick the up just for the motors sometimes.

This is a great blaster for smaller nerfers as my partner is tiny with tiny hands and he can really use alot of newer blasters but the barracaed fits his hand

@@ogresound203 barricade motors are similar to the old wfk sz falcon 130s. They take 3s beautifully. replace the brushes with carbon ones, and put them in the stryfe with a worker polycarb cage and smooth worker wheels. Put old mtb rhinos in the barricade

WalcomS7 I've had a barricade for a long time and it has served me well. At one point the batteries corroded so a battery spring was damaged but I loved the barricade so much that I killed another blaster(that was kinda old) to get the battery spring. I hope there are others that still love their barricade as much.

I've gotten a Barricade today cheap on eBay. I'm not experienced in modding at the moment but I'm planning on maybe going back to this one sometime, hopefully this year, and beefing it up a bit. Even right now, I like it, even if I don't have micro darts to use with it so I'm lobbing Adventure Force waffles out it. I hope to get some of those reproduction whistler micros that I've seen being sold as specifically for the Vulcan EBF-25 for reasons unknown. On a different note, this is a personal preference, but I actually quite like the muzzle aesthetically. It feeds into the whole autopistol/SMG aesthetic the Barricade has. But that's just my aesthetic opinion, and I respect yours even if I disagree with it. Anyway, I'm quite happy with this Barricade, even if I can't even use it to its fullest extent. _Yet._ One last thought: Mag-fed Barricades are _wild._ Looking at them and other modded Barricades really gives me extra appreciation for how much ingenuity has been in the art of modding blasters for a decade or two now...

I miss my barricade. I don't know where it went, I never really used it, I didn't want to use it because I was concerned about stealth and figured you'd never get anywhere if you had to have the fan rev up and give away your position. But it was really cool.

I have to say this, because I have searched to see if anyone else noticed, and haven't seen it in any review. But anyways, I got one recently and at first I didn't try it but then not thinking I ended up trying it anyways, you know the cutouts in the drum, they Shure do look like they could take a half dart don't they? But the pin isn't long enough to push a half dart into the fly wheels, right? Wrong! It doesn't have to be. This thing shoots half darts perfectly with no modifications!¡! I couldn't believe it. Please ad this to a new review. That would be awesome 😎👍. Ps it's not a nerf brand, not sure if that matters. It's a blaze storm. Anyway I just wanted to point that out.

I've had one of these for ages. My brother uses it when we play together, as I can fire maybe 3 darts before my finger starts hurting, and firing all ten is an ordeal I do not wish to repeat. I bought my first nerf blaster recently, as I wanted something new, and I'm finally an adult. now an ultra 2 with a conversion kit is the goto flywheel sidearm. I prefer to have at least one springer in my loadout so I don't often get a chance to run a flywheel pistol. seems like it would fun to run with a shield if you can convince anyone to let you do that.
