Walcott, breaking the culture of javelin that came from the 50's, seriously, it was amazing what he did,to beat pitkamaki and thordkilsen, to win a gold medal at 19 years old, and be the first occidental on winning a gold medal at javelin at the olympics, while setting a new national record, he broke a lot of things with his 2nd throw

...and 4 years after this competition oleksandr pyatnytsya lost his silver medal and it was given to antti ruuskanen because pyatnytsya had used doping. that also meant that vitezslav vesely got the bronze medal. i'm a little bit sad for him because he couldn't get his medal in olympics but fortunately he finally got it !
