I try to watch everything with wavetables, but somehow have only just found this post. Great work and superb sounds. Perfect antidote for those who think WT sounds are all thin and harsh - they can be, but your demo shows there is so much more to WT synthesis than that. It is all down to the programming.

Lovely demo of the original MicroWAVE... very melodic and nostalgic at same time. I especially love the stepping S&H sequence starting at 4:20, incredible. Thanks for sharing... I recently picked up a MicroWAVE XT and am impressed with the capabilities and sounds of Waldorf synths.

@Echocaster THX Echocaster :) The Blofeld is a very powerfull synthesizer,more like the Q. for the MW programming i use Sounddiver or Geerdes MW Editor for Atari. both are great tools to work with.in this case most of the Wavetables are from OS 2.0. greetz from HH :)

How did you create the alien voice at the end of the demo (7:36 - end) ??? Is it a particular preset patch or custom programming (if so what values)? It is SO cool... any tips would be much appreciated.

Hey ms20user, I'm still so impressed on your programming skills. Next week I will buy a MW. At the moment I use a Blofeld Desktop Synth. It's nice but analog filters with curtis chips are not beatable. Did u use an editor to create the sounds and did u took any soundcards with additional waveforms for this demo? Sry for my crap english, Im' a Kraut.

9 years after still one of my favorite demos. Great choice of sounds and very musical chords. What effects did you use?
@drydessert41983 жыл бұрын
Very often, the MW1 sounds like it has effects on already but it's actually just the original sound. That's one of the impressive things about the original MW. That doesn't mean that there are no effects in this demo. I wouldn't know. But it is possible that there aren't any on sounds where you would assume there are.
