Start of the football match between Wales and England. GV Wales kick off (in white shorts). England attack. SCU Finney passes to Matthews. Matthews passes on. LV John Charles receives but Wilshaw intercepts. Wilshaw carries through, Welsh goalkeeper Jack Kelsey dives to collect. Wilshaw jumps completely over him. Kelsey gets up and clears up field. CU Welsh supporter looking anxious. GV Wales attacking, Derek Tapscott running with ball. SV Crowds. LV Tapscott passes through to the middle. Ford heads over the crossbar, the crowds freeze. CU Welsh supporter rubbing hands excitedly. LV Welsh defence, pan to Stanley Matthews with ball. He is intercepted by Trevor Ford. Ball is diverted to Chris Jones. Jones dribbles past Matthews, continues to run up field with Noel Kinsey hard on his heels. CU Charles has the ball. He passes to Tapscott. LS Tapscott in the centre, Len Allchurch and Jeff Hall on sides. Tapscott shoots. Ball goes in the net. Pan to crowds cheering. Score: Wales 1, England 0. GV Wales attacking. SV Excited crowds still cheering. LS Tapscott centres and Chris Jones receives and heads into right hand corner. Pan to massed crowds cheering. Wales 2, England 0. GV Teams congratulating, crowds in background cheering. Half time. TV Crowds cheering. LV England attacking. Ball goes to Wilshaw. He shoots but Kelsey leaps to save and clears up field. SV Wales attacking. Tapscott in possession, he passes to another player but ball is deflected and Bill McGarry takes possession. Tapscott intercepts McGarry and ball goes over the line for English throw in. SCU Crowds watching. SCU McGarry taking the throw in. Pan to Tom Finney and Williams fighting for ball. Finney wins. He passes to Jimmy Dickinson who shoots up field. CU Two men watching. LV John Charles heads ball into own goal after receiving centre from Roger Byrne. Charles dived to head it over the bar but diverted it into net. Kelsey, after kicking the ball up field, taps Charles on the shoulder. TV Crowds cheering. GV Play. LV Nat Lofthouse receives and runs through Welsh defence with ball. He shoots at goal but Alfred Sherwood stops the ball and Kelsey saves and clears up field. SV. Crowds applauding. GV Crowds around Welsh team. Final score: Wales 2, England 1.
