Actually Big Hit is pretty fair to their artists. The artist get 70% and agency gets 30% (overseas promotions). Other events are around 50-50. And now bts also gets 70% of physical album sales and the agency gets 30%. But of course not all agencies are like this. Big Hit is one of the fairer ones.

They don’t do luxury brand endorsements so if they’re wearing chanel, gucci, anything like that....that means they bought it. They’ve said they don’t want to endorse any type of clothing brand that will dictate how they dress, and these companies have said that the only thing they can do since BTS won’t accept their deals is pray and hope that they decide to wear their clothes on their own
@MarinaEariel4 жыл бұрын
I don't think they buy all what they use for promotions/photoshoots/events. Stylist sometimes loan from brands even if they don't have a deal with them. Now, airport / everyday looks (and what we see on RUN and Bon Voyage), that's from their pocket. The exception would be clothing from the sports brands they have deals with, like now with FILA. I'm guessing they get those as a gift. But they don't have an exclusivity agreement so they mix and match with other brands.

I think about an year ago, bighit released a statement in which bighit said that bts don't want to get involved with any luxury brand because they want to be able to wear anything they enjoy without being restricted by contracts. Right now they are ambassadors for fila, but other than that they are free to wear any clothing brand.

Y no, for their concert I think BTS gets lesser than the company( not sure of the official percentage) since the agency has to prepare the props and stages, as well as deliver the cargo and pay the staff and dancers for the concert. Therefore the artists gets paid lesser than the company in this case. Other then that, BTS gets paid higher than BigHit in all the other section. Therefore I mentioned that overall they are paid high compared to other agencies ^^
@lynseoltang11834 жыл бұрын
@@dekiyangdon5532 No. The shares are divided after all production (includes everything and everyone they need to pay) costs are deducted. So even if it's overseas, BTS still gets 70% of the total NET profit.

BTS dont endorse luxury brands but they will allow luxury brands to dress them for red carpets (esp when they’re in the US). So sometimes, like at the 2018 BBMAs, the boys will come decked out in Gucci or in some other brand for another award show. Or like the time the boys were gifted customized Dior outfits for their concert. These clothes are never purchased and never worn as a contractual agreement, but instead is gifted to the boys to wear and if BH + their stylists are down with the look they’ll let the boys wear it.

bts prefer not to be brand ambassadors for big clothing brands (gucci, dior, etc), because they want freedom with what they wear. they do collab with these brands sometimes for award show/concert outfits. smth a lot of ppl like abt them is how they support smaller designers. for example, their outfits for the grammys were made by a less known korean designer so it’s nice to see them constantly supporting and promoting their country and staying true to themselves
@taesfilter30264 жыл бұрын
they have various endorsement deals, namely fila, bodyfriend (massage chair), samsung, baskin robbins (ice cream), chilsung cider (beverage company), lemona (vitamin), VT cosmetics, coca-cola and hyundai. there might be more, but this is all i could think off the top of my head. as far as outfits, they tend to wear a lot more fila but they also enjoy wearing articles of clothing from other brands. they're quite strict with their phones though. they usually upload stuff on twitter with their samsungs although they personally use iphones. there's been multiple occasions where they accidentally upload things with their iphone and had to take em down and reupload with their samsungs😂

The fact that they don't accept sponsorship from huge fashion brands coz they want to wear what's comfortable to them. Dior made their customized micdrop clothes, with BTS' suggestions for details during their WorldTour. That, up to this day, is the biggest sponsorship in the kpop industry. Huge brands can only hope that BTS wear their brands coz they don't accept sponsorship from them. LEGEND behavior 😏👌👌👌

Everyone's talked about how BTS don't do fashion sponsorships or endorsements already, however they only ever worked with PUMA and now FILA... so mostly just athletic wear. Otherwise, the only other hugely publicized collab they did was with Dior's Tom Jones where he designed 7 special outfits for a leg of their tour! Otherwise, they don't accept any other sponsorship and instead just buy the clothes they want to wear personally.

Also its 70-30 but BTS actually GET the 70. Many other agencies adopt the "debt" system, where the first few years the idol works to repay what the company has paid for their training. BH is one of the agencies that do not adopt this system and instead see it as more of an investment in their artist. Also, recently BH has applied for an IPO and they plan on going public, and the CEO Bang PD has gifted the members with over 68,000 shares equaling over 7 million U.S dollars, and then they decided to buy more shares so as to "pay him back" because it was too much loooooool. BH are extremely fair when it comes to financial distribution and artistic freedom, but along with that it is much, much harder to make it through the training process and debut. They're very particular.

Yeah they are that RICH and they still fighting for one earbods and still happy to get tambourine (it is in bts festa) even though they can literally built their own factory of earbods and tamborine, well it's just showed how humbled they are. They are also literally fighting to death(kidding) just to get a small prize in their show RUN BTS but literally donating a million dollars everywhere needed (ex: they donated 1 million dollar in black lives matter and army matched the donation and raised another million dollars to donate). And just wanna add that Jin is came from a pretty wealthy family his dad is a ceo but he still choose to suffer together with BTS. He still join Big Hit Entertainment instead of relying to his parents success, knowing that Big Hit is such a small company at that time and can't assure anything for them.

they don't have any sponsored clothing brand deals and never have other than being global ambassadors for Puma and now Fila but the funny thing is what ever they wear even if it is high end it usually sells out. A very high end brand even asked permission from a fansite to use a pic they took of a member wearing their brand I can't remember what brand it was, but the literally only wanted it to hang in their office headquarters, since the can't get them as brand ambassadors.

Yes, Bighit respects BTS and their contributions and how much they are paid reflects that. They have negotiated their contracts to reflect both how much they contribute creatively and the weight of their international fame. I have seen a video breakdown of how all the top companies split profits with their artists post-debut and after contract re-negotiations. It's understandable that new artists do not get these kinds of favorable contracts, since they do not have the creative experience (some groups do contribute lyrics/music/prod/choreo from the time of their debut and I'm not sure it they get treated differently in terms of pay) and they have to heavily promote to build a fan base. However, I have also heard of many new artists not actually getting paid due to their (often undisclosed)"debt" to the company. The amount of investment in a group can be massive from training to producing music and MVs to promotions without guarantee of success, but some companies take advantage of literal children who's families sign contracts without understanding the ramifications and that they deserve better.
