Most Indian singers learn the basics of music before puberty, and it's a interesting and complex amount of training during their puberty years to maintain their voice. Usually that's the time that lots of children drop out from singing.

I wish you heard a slightly older(10-11yrs) Sunidhi's perform "Tu chanda main Chandni", one of the hardest songs ever composed in the industry at a talent show. The original song was sung by Lata ji and the time signature is all over the place. The judges panel had some of the most revered names of Indian music.
