yes, pala also means shovel when the intonation is on the first syllable but when the intonation is on the second syllable, the meaning is different. "pala" is used when you thought it is something/someone at first but then realize it was another. like at first you thought is was waleska but then you realize it was efra, so you say "si Efra pala" which means "so it's Efra" . or when you like an apple, you say "gusto ko ng apple" but then you saw a pear and you like it more, so you say "gusto ko pala ng pear" . in the song, he thought she wasn't the one but then he realized that she was the one, so "ikaw pala" .

If I am not mistaken, JayR and Kris lawrence are best of friends. They've tried to create a boy group in the US but failed. Then JayR came here in the Philippines first, when he became popular as R&B genre style of singing doing well here ,he invited Kris to come here and try his luck. Then Kris joined a reality singing competition in ABS CBN, a rival network of Jayr back then for him to do it on his own and not tryin to ride on to his friends popularity. im just not sure if Kris won or not but he also become popular here too. ❤
