That is definitely a girl singing @ 6:15 and you guys should for sure check out Jasmine Sandlas, she is fricking amazing and not just her popular stuff but her independent music and her self produced EPs are so delicate and musically beautiful.. One of the finest punjabi singer. She is somewhat western influenced to in some ways as she sent a big part of her life in California n she has english + punjabi songs too..!! So please check her out..!!!

The big indian movies from all the industries of India haven't been out yet this year. Most big movies are slated to release from this month i..e July to December. Kalki 2898 AD, the most expensive indian movie ever made (genre: sci fi, hindu mythology, drama, action adventure, epic, dystopic future) came out last week. It has a great soundtrack plus the background score of the movie is great So by the end of the year you might have a totally different list altogether

Looks like the person who made this video didn't do their homework well while making this video. I mean how can you miss "Safed" the most beautiful album of this year so far. It's so freaking underrated. It hurts me. No one talk about it. The truth is whenever real quality songs are made..it hardly gets popular anymore. Because today's generation z mostly like dance songs. Only if there were some actually quality dance songs I would have love it too. Sadly makers are not even making any efforts to produce some good dance songs. Anyway check out Safed album. Musically it's really good with amazing lyrics.

Chamkila wasn't as big of a film + it debuted on OTT that's why the video didn't gain much views. Had nothing to do with your timing or the content of the actual film. For the podcast I think it would be cool to listen to some older Hindi music. Maybe focus on the genre of thawaifs and courtesans like you'll find a lot of the videos from back in the day are now being referenced again by directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The songs from Mughal-e-Azam (Jab Pyaar Kiya to Darna and Mohe Panghat Pe) and Pakeezah (Chalte Chalte Yun Hi Koi and Thare Rahiyo). It would also be cool to see you watch the songs from the original Umrao Jaan (1981) which are sung by Asha Bhosle and compare it to remake version (2006) where the album is mainly sung by Alka Yagnik. You could look up In Aankhon Ki Masti and Dil Cheez Kya Hai from the original and Salaam and Pooch Rahe Hain from the remake.
