Mana is actually the favorite of most A’tin fans and I’m one of them of SB19 Pagsibol Album. The song is so upbeat, unique beat and the message is really good. Pablo used Mana (Manananggal) as a metaphor. He’s a genius and Pablo’s adlib here is awesome. Ken’s bass voice is crazy here so as Stell’s high notes. And you’re right, this is also my favorite rap part of Josh. Justin sang great here too.

You’re right Efra. The song has a double meaning. Manananggal is a mythical creature that can detach half of its body from the torso. The upper half flies to seek its prey at night, while the bottom half stays grounded. And SB19 used that mythical creature as a reference for seeking great heights in the music industry, but still remains grounded and humble. That’s why the song itself sounds a bit eerie cause it’s a creature you don’t wanna mess with lol 😅🦇 You guys heard this song before. Welcome to Mana-Most Favorite SB19 song Club! yes we’re ecstatic to know that finally Wish Bus released this after 9 months. I even cries when they officially announced it this morning. Mana is the only SB19 song that has no MV or even a slightest promotion. They are singing this live on their concerts and gigs too. the producer was Servida- and he even said this is his fav track that he made for SB19. Although Pablo co-produced it too. MANA is a short term for MANANAGGAL which is a urban legend in the Philippines that is way the sound are so dark at the same time bright. 🦇🦇🦇 The manananggal is described as scary, often hideous, usually depicted as female, and always capable of severing its upper torso and sprouting huge bat-like wings to fly into the night in search of its victims. The word manananggal comes from the Tagalog word tanggal, which means "to remove" or "to separate", which literally translates as "remover" or "separator". In this case, "one who separates itself". Mana is SB19's hidden gem. Mana is a fandom favorite. So imagine our excitement when we found out Wish is going to release this. We have been asking Wish to release this since months ago. Manananggal is actually a Filipino mythical creature that separates its torso and flies away with its upper torso to find a human victim to eat. Its lower torso remain hidden because a way to kill a Manananggal is to prevent it from coming back to its lower torso and become whole again before sunrise. That's why SB19's song has a bit of creepy vibe on it as well. But the meaning behind the song is actually for those who didn't believe and support them when they were still beginning. Manananggal represents SB19 soaring to new heights with their feet still on the ground (being humble).

I truly agreed guys. A lot of A'TIN are MANA Enthusiasts. I don't know if I'm just being overreacting but this morning I cried when I saw Wish Posted that finally they'll released MANA performance of SB19. It took freakin 9 months 😭😭 Mana is such a dope song in their Pagsibol Ep. However it's the only song that doesn't have a music video 😭😭. MANA for me has its own genre. Cant compare it to their other songs. Its a metaphor. Meaning of the song is that just like the manananggal, even if they are now flying high coz of their achievements, their feet is still flat on the ground. Manananggal is a creature that every midnight half of her body flies and eats unborn child while half of the body is just waiting for the oter half to come back before dawn.

This is actually a very dance heavy song when performed outside the bus so it's really mind blowing that the hype is the same, if not more. Simon Servida produced this with Pablo. He actually have a video I'll link below of how he did it. The song was originally in a major chord and they transformed it into this in a minor chord setting to best achieve Pablo's vision of it to be "scary" sounding. I guess to vibe better their usage of mananaggal which is a sacry folklore creature here in the Philippines.
