in the beginning they talk to make the key higher to suit judika range and ariel (noah's vocalist, noah is a band) is kinda doubt if he can reach it. that's why after the first chorus ariel massage his jaw cause it's definitely hard for him to sing in that key

Efra explained everything...all the details about getting tension on his upper jaw and stuff...she definitely knows whats going on...if you sing without open your mouth like other singers do this situation can easily happen...especially to belt certain high note like singing duet with judika.......but Ariel in the other hand this is his style.....so he use to this....

Glad you did the original version, Noah's a legend, he's been singing from like early 2000s under a different name which is Peterpan, but due to an ugly scandal he changed his band to Noah. (Just a bit of TMI)

this is what happen, Judika's voice is higher than Ariel's (Noah) voice. so. Ariel push his voice a bit much to sycn. That's why his throat tickled and I believe his wasn't warm ups

The band just had his 8th anniversary’s ( before the band name was Peter Pan). NOAH is one of the biggest & most popular band in Indinesia. I wish u both could watch thei live performances. It’s like Cold Play vibe from Indonesia. ‘Cobalah Mengerti ‘ is one of Noah Band hits. Judika known for his high notes voice, and Ariel tried to catch his tone level which was quiet exhausting. Judika n Maria Idol are Bataknese from Medan Indonesia in Sumatra Island, Bataknese speaks Bataknese as local/native language, they speak more loud than Javanese or Sundanese in Java Island... Most of Bataknese can sing in high note n more powerful... Ariel Noah is Sundanese from Bandung West Java Indonesia in Java Island same like Reza Darmawangsa, their Sundanese... The pun is that the title of the song literally means Try to understand, and Judika ask Ariel to try to understand when he ask him to sing in Judika's key. The jaw massaging thing was just a gesture. Judika is well known for his incredible range and out of respect Ariel just let him know that he acknowledge it. About the studio, they sang Judika's song in Noah's studio before, and then they sing Noah's original in Judika's studio. By the way I do realize that this comment is like decades late.

Out of technical, style and range of singing Ariel vs Judika, let me give note that Ariel with his band NOAH, is Indonesia Core Music (Judika and other Indonesian musician, junior or senior will admit it) Remember when the Band, vacum for almost 2years due to Ariel past scandal, most of Indonesia Band going on hiatus too & almost die...and then many dance group (boyband/girlband) come up to fill the spot. Every Ariel & NOAH come up with certain project, then the whole Indonesian music (especially Band Music) like get a booster to LIVE UP too. Their latest re-make project (remember Bintang di Surga remake MV and others song too) also give a SPIRIT to others BAND & singer on hiatus/less motivation to also COMEBACK and making Indonesia Music Industry LIVELY again. NOAH consistently did many remarkable & breaktrough project which is give big impact, somehow like a vitamin booster to whole Indonesia Music environment. Also since Peterpan era (former NOAH band name), Ariel is most of role model for many young kid who interested or have dream to become/buiild their career as a BAND/singer, Many of Indonesia new Band/singer inspired to impersonated his voice and his stage act. There are many senior and greater Band / musician in Indonesia, but Ariel & NOAH is one of a kind. From various interview, we can see how many Indonesia musician (recently active, on break, rising star, or still wannabe) give mad respect to Ariel & NOAH to keep our Music Industry on a Center Stage and ALIVE, despite so many outsider invasion and changing on public interest. Also Ariel is one of inspirational person on how to SURVIVE, GET UP, shining again after falling crash down. This just a little note, that you can understand Who Ariel & NOAH is.
