Punishments need to be harsher, to deter & to keep ones who don't care off the streets. I also think municipality's should have the right to order people to vacate jurisdictions if they can't get it together. If you force them out of their area, they lose their crew & ability to easily assemble like minded individuals. In turn, where they go needs to be notified they're coming & supervision begins. I understand other areas not wanting a problem individual to come, but perhaps a new start & some resource programs to help that person get established into a better path could be beneficial. I know it's not fun for the family & friends to have a loved one forced to move away, but their decisions resulting that ultimately is on them. Obviously this is just an idea for something different to try, & would require a lot of moving pieces. But nothing currently seems to be working - so maybe some new ideas will bring a working plan to fruition.

Only solution I can think of is the old 1800s style store. No customer has access to the store, they ask a clerk (behind bulletin proof glass to bring the item they want to the countertop

Or we could just go back to being a white country again .
@yatta997 ай бұрын
Or a 1980s style Toys-R-Us where only one of each item is on display and you take a ticket for each item you want. Then you check-out and pay, THEN you go and get the actual items you want from the pick-up counter (after showing your receipt).
@ymrofficial7 ай бұрын
Or you turn the stores into guarded warehouses where you can pick up your items youve bought online beforehand or have it delivered.

nope, when these criminal big box stores are gone and scammer landlords stop trying to charge 500,000 per month for commercial spaces, small businesses will slowly come back. People will make a living again. NYC will actually have a market amenable to real people running real small businesses again.

They just gone soft, in Brazil where I grew up if you are poor becouse of racists policies that have been going on for centuries and try to steel from big retail stores, or even any place of commerce that is intended for middle upper classes - assuming that you could get in, you would get a nice beat up from the security. I'm not saying that it is right, but it is how they get their things going, we live in a capitalistic society that makes it harder on the poor to overcome the gap, and by allowing them to just commit crimes without anyone beeing there just to garante that the store isn't going to be robed putting their own security at risk (becouse they are actually payed for the security), makes all the sistem crumble. It is an unfair world and unfair life, in Italy we say that some are born from the v*gina and some are born from the as*hole, and that's what divese us... Some are born to struggle and live under harsh conditions as workers and a small minority gets everything as easy as you can get something, and if someone tries to break that cicle: you probably guest it, they get beat up. Again, not that it is fair, but we live in societies that are made to be unequal, it is unfruitful to try other wise - everything just crumbles becouse once you can get free from the chains that make you have a hard life and a shitty job - what will keep the lower classes in their spot once that moral and religion have already gone down the drain? And it certainly doesn't help to keep bringing unfortunate peaple to this already chaotic city, that just learn that the land of oportunity has already gone dry.

The problem with those power tools not working because they were stolen from Home Depot is that the person stealing them doesn't care if they work. They're stealing them to sell, not to use, and once it's sold, they've got their money and couldn't care less about the purchaser.
