Never Ever Go to Bank for this. Easy way is to buy a 10 years old well maintained Toyota Corolla, (after getting checked by a good mechanic), keep it for a year, keep on saving money till you have enough money to pay for a better car. E.g. Buy Corolla for 15000-20000 AED, keep on saving some cash monthly. After a year when you have enough money, sell corolla on hardly 15-20% less price (I bought one for 17000 and sold for 14500 after sometime) and buy a better one. No need to go to bank. DONT PAY YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO BANK JUST TO SHOW OFF.

@@user-fr8hw4vu9f It depends on your city. Just talk to couple of mechanics nearby, or get info from colleagues about any good mechanic and hire him to check the car. It can cost you from 100-250 AED max.

Just to add…one should explore all financing options available. In my case, I made a payment of 1.5 lacs AED through credit card as my bank offered a 0% interest & 0 file charges for 12 months. I had the cash so instead of paying the amount upfront, I made a fixed deposit @ 4.1% in the same bank giving me a return of AED 500+ per month which covers my monthly petrol expense. So keep your eyes open for all options available.

@@mepcotech bro for booking just go to the car dealer they will deal with everything from beginning to the end. The bank will ask you for relevant documents, salary slips, bank statements etc. 40k deposit 93k total price Loan amount 53k Term period 3 years. 1626 monthly payment

15k is low budget. A good yaris might not be possible. But keep looking.

10 years old car is already depreciated to max. It will start to give more maintenance issues every year. Soft parts like rubber based seals and parts etc is abundantly used to seal running fluids in the ICE cars. The rubber gets brittle as it gets old and their could be more leaks and issues which will drain money on maintenance. Engine foundations, axles, boots etc. all have rubber sealings and parts. So in my opinion it is better to sell an old car till its condition is good before it starts giving problems which drain time money and energy. I am speaking this from my personal experience.

@@zaf7794 wrong approach :-) Keep the cars maintained - these cars are built to last forever. UNLESS you fail to get the proper preventive maintenance there is no issue. The taxis in this country runs for 700k kms atleast and still shine. One should make the best use of excellent Infra of this country to make sure every dirham works for itself.

@@WaliKhan_2k cars used in taxis are not more than 5 years old. Secondly car dealerships or agencies will give long bills in preventive maintenance on old cars. I am sceptic about approach to spend 5 to 7K AED every 2 years on a 10 year old car. Also I missed to mention the old engines are less fuel efficient and further decrease in efficiency as it gains mileage.

@@zaf7794 same category that of mine - Toyota prado, 2-3 years old would come atleast for 120k. Why would I sell my Pajero for 35k and spend 100k extra??? Fuel efficiency would be the same. Maintenance a little higher may be - but insurance and other expenses would offset. Most important of all - opportunity cost of spending 100k AED
