I've visited this place several times in the late 60'S. Was a dalipidated and quiet town. Brings back old memories. Now 72 years old residing in Australia. Good show around. It's totally different with lots of nice concrete buildings compared to the past.

hi hi, good shot, i cam down memory lane , was born in this bandar.. penggaram, used to be flooded during the good old days... maybe you were not born yet... bucket systems floating about during heavy flood time... ooh omg!, the flood water can reached right up to the pre-war shops there... we were renting one of them. But thanks to a great samarithan, who helped in the drainage problem then... Now no more heavy flooding. Cheers! There's a cinema, called ODEON, my granny used to buy 1 adult ticket but 3 cucu (incl my siblings) can entered without problem, but we sat on the floor coz one ticket one seat mahh! oooh, he, he... oooh so many good historical activities to share... incl my mum who was 12 years old only... used to bring food to my uncle at the old hospital through barbed wires.. to reach there. Was told my uncle was tortured by the Japanese till suffered from mental problems,, hence ended up in the hospital.......
