This trailer was on our short list a few years ago. We were looking at the version with fiberglass walls and "offroad" package though. Wanted the off-road version just for the sake of getting the sewer drains further from the ground. Still no vent fan in the bathroom, but finally a surround in the shower (wasn't there when we were buying). Would also be nice if the kitchen didn't look like it belonged in the cheapest KZ trailer.

I like that it's not a Murphy...but that's b/c I have the unique need of a 'bed all the time' camper. A dining bar would be nice and the 4" fart fan a must. The comment suggesting a shower area fold down sink is a great idea. Otherwise? Cute camper. We'll see how comfortable I get, towing and maneuvering my new 22rb this summer. Good to know there's always smaller, fun campers to be had. 🙂

Had mine about 6 weeks. Very happy with it except, as you mentioned, no drawers or shelves. It’s at a carpenter’s right now having shelves installed, which took a bit of ingenuity as the support isn’t there. Other modifications included drawers under the cabinets by the bed, a better mechanism for holding up the under the bed storage, a partition to separate outer storage from under the bed (stuff slides around too much), and adding a door to the open cabinet (I have the ceiling AC). I also had an electric tongue jack installed, which makes hitching and unhitching much easier. I got the Husky Brute 4500, which is more than I needed, but I liked its features, and it was on sale for $256 on Amazon. That’s something they could offer as an option that wouldn’t add much to the cost. My only complaint is that low rear clearance, not for the sewer system, but for the rear stabilizer jacks. Somehow I’ve bent the driver side stabilizer in 2 directions. And so far I’ve only been one place with rough roads.

We own a 2022 195 RB with the roof mounted A/C. In the bathroom, we like the new shower surround in the 2024 base model. Get rid of the mirror behind the toilet and install a medicine cabinet. We like the sink being mounted under the countertop in this one. These models need kitchen drawers! This appears to have a sturdier dinette table leg then previous models (ours broke the first time we turned the dinette into a bed and was replaced under warranty.) No murphy bed for us with a foldable mattress as we prefer the upgraded mattress we put in ours. I really wish the fresh water tank was positioned somewhere else so you could access the outside storage from both sides of the camper.

For the solo traveler what about replacing the dinette with an XL twin bed. You could then put some sort of desk/workstation against the cap. If the desk is boxed, you would maintain the front storage. If you throw in a single floating recliner next to the counter, you have a bed, work area, and a place to comfortable sit. It would probably mean eating at the disk, but as a single camper, that would work pretty well.

Uncle Josh - I had one of these in 2020 in the Baja model and loved it. Bought it based on your previous videos. The closet was the best option and you rarely see these even in larger models. I don't like where the furnace is now, it exhaust into the camp side 🙁 Thanks for the great videos!!!

This is a very sensible camper. The north/south bed arrangement is great for couples. Either one can get out of or into bed without climbing over the other. And the side cabinets are great. The rear entry door allows for a proper storage closet and good access to bathroom and leaves lots of moving around room in it. The kitchen is good efficient layout. No drawers in big cabinet at the front? Go to big box store storage section and get yourself some of those roll away wire basket cabinet inset kits and you get your pull out drawers. Love the camp side window arrangement. And you still have drivers side visibility. A very bright and airy camper. No poo fan? You’ve still got that huge opening vent! Use it! That does have a handle to open and close it. I will take all of those other electrical outlets scattered around the sleeper and dinette area as compensation. A very good trade in my opinion. I would eliminate the camp side speakers. I don’t like them and the holes they put in the sides of the walls for leaks. Their biggest benefit is their ability to seriously annoy anyone within a football field length with your personal preference in noise pollution. Delete them and save a few bucks. Replace them with a jumbo flat screen mount on the side with the power and audio/computer connections to place the really good infotainment stuff on. I myself prefer the wall mount a/c unit vs the roof mount even if it has the smaller capacity. This old fashioned layout is still a goodie.

I would also move AC up onto the roof, like a normal rv. Then move door back to the area at the curtain and window, where it used to be. Then enlarge the closet where the door is now. Oh, put a bar in place of dinette. I guess that would make it like the old floorplan.. or a Geo..

This is great! I would prefer to be able to carry some more weight, so maybe a second axel and enough length to add a jack knife sofa on the end of the bed. Or a folding sofa where the dinette is. I love this layout though and the way the bathroom is situated. The Murphy Bed notion is pretty good, but again I think this might be best achieved with another axel under it and a couple of more feet of length. I don't know how these things work just thinking out loud. I am gonna go check the Jayco web site to see if they have anything close to what I am talking about. This is darn darn good! At one point I had over three months of videos pre-recorded and stuff spread out over a long period of time. Rarely anymore is a video I'm showing something I JUST recorded I built up a big buffer so I wasn't "cooked" during show season and was still able to take some time off with my family without "dead air on the channel" So... I'm not sure. It's possible it was a while ago lol

Did you notice that the spare tire wheel is not color matched to the wheels installed on the axle? Opps.

Fairly common in automotive stuff really

A Murphy bed and a bathroom vent fan and sink are the bare minimum that this RV needs so everyone has a comfortable place to sit, a fan for their💩and a bathroom sink so everyone doesn’t have to wash their hands, brush their teeth and shave in the kitchen sink😂

I would add adjusting the dinette table so that the pole is on the wheel cover instead.

@@InfernosReaperIf it were possible I would “option” out that uncomfortable “1950’s diner” booth dinette for a breakfast bar or a small sofa in a minute😂

@@stevez340That's a good solution. Tiny dinettes are kinda obsole

There is no medine cabinet. First time I have seen a Jayco with out one. 😮

The SLX-level jay flights made from indiana have lacked them for a few seasons. I'm not a fan of that decision The ones from Idaho have maintained a med cab weirdly

How long is the dinette when converted to a bed?

You made a reference asking a manufacturer to combine elements to be the best camper. I have an idea 💡…. Why not have the executives at Bish’s have you get with the designers of your Go Play series and design the BEST camper in each of your price points for all of the markets. You’ve done these reviews for so long now that you know what buyers want. Your collaboration in designing should be able to create the number one BEST SELLING camper in each category or price point. You know what people want and how best to design it. On behalf of your nerd herd, we look forward to see what the professor 👨🏫 has to share with the class. Place your character sticker on it and call it Nerd Preferred 😂.

Mostly due to my bandwidth or lack thereof. As a one man band what I do occupies an extreme amount of time. I work well beyond daily operating hours I'm 100% interesting in helping develop stuff. I just don't have time currently We're working on getting me assistance for things like video editing and social stuff that may help

Changes I would do the old black steps, so when you stop at cracker barrel you can big step in and not have a flag saying we are inside the camper come get me murder hobo. DRAWER!!! Med cabinet for the shampoo and conditioner, hair brush, bobby pins, comb, hair clips, scrunchies, hair net, hair trimmers, curling iron, hair clippers, and maybe a small hair dryer. I'm with you, not even a fart fan....
